Update On Injuries

its really a shame that BJ went down.....but hey look at it this way, we have Yamon Figurs who in preseason averaged 30-35 yards each time he had the ball on Kick off returns.....that was more than BJ had....hopefully BJ will be healthy next season...

It's a shame BJ went down

He's a great player with an even greater upside

Hopefully Ogden will get better soon

Same with Ray and Steve

ESPN's reporting that Ray Lewis's MRI shows no tear.

Thats good news Having Ray on the field does wonders for this team. People say that Ray Lewis has lost a step and he is fall off. However monday night he showed that even at his age and with pretty much one arm, noone will out work him. I think he finished with like 11 or 12 tackles. Ray may not be a machine anymore like in 2000, but he is a very smart player and brains beats out talent 80% of the time.

like i said before, Ray most certainly has NOT lost a Step, on monday night, he was flying around the field tackling virtually EVERYTHING that came his way...and even when thing didnt come his way, he went and found it!...he finished the game with 11 tackles......and with his New Improved Workout routine......and his focus and dedication to the game....i'd say that HE MOST CERTAINLY HAS NOT LOST A STEP!

From the most recent news article on the frontpage of this site:

Ogden, who spoke to the media after the rest of the team came in from practice, said that he did not injure his left big toe, which occurred Dec. 17 against the Cleveland Browns, any further. The 6-foot-9, 345-pounder stood in front of his locker with his foot wrapped up to the toe and explained that he would continue to rehab and try to get on the field every Sunday.

This is heartening. But this is even more so:

Lewis was optimistic that he would play this weekend against the New York Jets, while McNair was more cautious, saying that he could be a game-time decision.

Let's all hope that the guys are healthy. I read today that Chad Pennington was taking snaps at practice today and hopes to start on Sunday....not that it really matters.

/go Ravens!

On another note, what happened with Clayton?

I missed the first half of the game, and I noticed he was being used sparingly.

What's up?

Yeah, Lewis just has a strain. I think he looked pretty incredible Monday night, he wasn't lying about being in great shape.

Not sure what was up with Clayton though.

ESPN Insider is reporting that Mcnair sits on Sunday, Boller to start.

Betcha the stadium crowd will give Kyle a huge welcome .... Hopefully, those non-Ravens fans who cheered his injury two seasons back will just stay out in the tailgate lots and allow the fans supporting the whole team to intimidate the Jets offense.

Personally I agree with letting McNair heal these 2 weeks if need be, Kyle Boller usually plays very well at home.

I'll support Boller, he made some things happen Monday night if you take away the PI call. I think he did fairly well considering the situation he was thrust into. No sense in breaking McNair this early.

agreed, i say Put Boller in and see how he does, if he still shows inconsistancy then pull him out and put McNair in (or Troy, BUT i really dont think Troy is ready yet...)
