Well, I was watching NFL Network and the was a ticker running across the top, and as of May 1, 2009, Comcast customers won't be able to recieve NFLN.

Suckss!

I switched a few years ago to get NFLN, THEN comcast got it. I enjoy Direct TV unless there is a storm.

NFL Network is the only reason why we even upgraded to digital cable to begin with, and it's the only reason we've stayed with Comcast the last time our contract was almost up.

But, given Comcast's poor customer service and poor value, I'm making the switch to Verizon soon.

You could always get a bigger dish.

I can't get FIOS yet and my apartment has no balcony so no satellite dish for me either :(

At least NFL Network is on Sirius radio.

We did, one of the oval ones and stuck it on the roof, but still tend to lose signal esp HD.

There are newer, better ones, now that replace the big oval. They changed mine late last year and now all I lose is my HD during storms. I can't remember the last time I lost the whole signal. This new one is actually a bit smaller than the big oval.

I'm anxiously awaiting the day when I can get rid of Comcast so I can get NFL Network back...June can't come soon enough for me. One whole month without NFL Network will be torture for me, after having to endure almost a year without it back when it was first moved onto the sports tier that I didn't have at the time...

That's ironic; we upgraded to the sports tier just for NFL Network (we don't care about the other sports channels...), only to have it taken away from us again a year later.

Where I used to work, we installed dishes for a company that used 1.5 meter dishes. Those things were huge, but they basically eliminated all rain fade.

c) already dumped comcast for Fios

I pretty much gave on Comcast some time ago. Their general suckitude at customer service and lying salesman being the main reasons.

Granted the others aren't much better. Verizon seems to be hit or miss if it works your golden but if you have a problem it always seems to be around. Also they're notorious for taking forever to fix billing mistakes. They (CS people) want to help but they seem to be stuck in the bureaucracy that is a giant phone company.
