I read that this morning in the paper.
Great article, i agree with it, I'm glad we have the ravens.
The days when we had the Colts are way before my time, but I have read, watched highlights, games etc of the Johnny Unitas Era Colts and the only thing I wish is that we had the records for the '58, '59 Championships and the '70 Super Bowl and all of our hall of famers in as Baltimore Colts.
That being said, I'd rather have the Ravens than Colts.
IMO The Ravens Logo, Colors, Players, etc are alot cooler than the Colts, The Purple and Black is cooler than Blue and White.
My dad was good friends with Johnny Unitas, and I even have a football signed to me by the great Johnny U, and it does make me sick when Indy fans act like Johnny U played there, and I still do believe that Robert Irsay was pure evil, But I'm glad we have the Ravens instead of the Colts. Go Ravens!

Its generational, Irsay ripped out a city's collective heart. That being said I bleed purple and love the Ravens. I just loathe the way the press stirs the pot every time there is an anniversary or important game. Those of us that remember will never forget and don't appreciate it.

Another twist-we might have lost the Colts anyway. If Carroll Rosenbloom hadn't traded the Colts
for the Rams, we would have gotten Georgia as the owner after Carroll's death, and what she did
to the Rams is well known. The good thing is Baltimore was more on the ball than LA, who's still
without a team because they can never come up with a stadium for some reason.

Alls well that ends well, though. GO RAVENS!!

Thank you Art Modell...I really like the team he brought to Baltimore the Colors, the theme even the symbols"Shield"...Raven Football lives on!!!!!
Art Modell Football lives on.....When and if we pick up a corner in the draft we will add yet another chapter to Art Modell Defense....Art Built this defense with his own hands.. At-least he got to see a Champion team atleast once before he gave the team up....
