What do you think? I love the realistic player models, in years past the QB's are the same size as LB's and their arms look like hocks of ham. The player sizes look more realistic. Also notice the refs, chain gang, stuff on sidelines, I am not sure of EVERY new feature there is but Peter Moore & EA said 6 can be seen in the screenshot.

haha i know joe flacco looked like some kind of 6'6 280lb body builder. The different positions could have at least been based on what the average qb looked like, lineman, WR, etc.

Looks good, hopefully it will translate to the final product. I'm so tired of the guys on the sidelines being #20 or whatever repeated over n over, n they all move in unison. Seems like a petty thing, but it is irritating.

I am also a little tired of the glitch catches by DBs and WRs. Its like every once in a while they can jump 45 feet to grab a ball, and then other times they seem like they don't even wanna go up for it. I'm not sure how they can fix this problem, but hopefully its a little better this year.

In franchise mode, the draft is the most ridiculous/annoying thing EVER! A CB that runs a 4.4 40 time somehow equates to a 88 on speed? And an LB who runs 4.5 is a 81 speed with like 70 on acceleration. It makes me mad, I don't play many video games but Madden is one of my favorites, that's the biggest problem I see with it.

Its because measurables have meant more than actual skills before, but they are supposed to be fixing this. If a 6'2 rookie corner had 95 speed with 90+ jump, he was a steal, and would be a great player because of how the game was set up. Thats what people who used Chris Houston in fantasy drafted leagues got to experience. He would pick balls off all the time because of great speed and good jumping and catching. Fabian was like that too, he hadn't produced on the field enough to make him as good as he was, he was just good because of his speed more than anything else (before this year)

Here's a follow up post from a producer on this, explaining some dynamics behind things, the additions, and some new stuff.

This is a link to the new producer blog where Michael Young, the Art Director of Madden 2010, follows up and breaks down the screenshot released the other day, he provides more screenshots, and goes into detail about some improvements on the game. Very nice, loving the new screenshots, the DOF image thing is awesome. Giving a true focal point and providing less noise in the picture. Thoughts on this?
