It Only Took 1 Game Of The '07-'08 Season..

Apparently, 20 minutes of action was all the Browns needed to see to make a change at quarterback.

Cleveland has traded former starting quarterback Charlie Frye to the Seattle Seahawks for a sixth-round pick, FOXSports.com has learned.

With Frye out of the picture, it should only be a matter of time before first-round pick Brady Quinn gets the nod as the starter.

The word going around Cleveland was that if he wasn't traded by 4pm today he was going to be cut. Cleveland has brought Ken Dorsey back and it looks like Anderson will be the guy this week apparently and well, Quinn will now start sooner rather than later IMO.

Not saying Frye was the long-term answer anyways but it sure does appear the organization is pushing the panic button WAY too early and I hope this doesn't backfire in the end. If they were to do this it should of been done before the season started.. not after week 1.

Apparently after reading further on this subject too this was an ownership decision, not Savage or Crennel. Lerner I'll admit hasn't made too many decisions and is good about letting the coach and GM do the work but I guess the display on Sunday was just enough for him..

i think itll be for the best, Ive definately seen more potential out of Anderson than Frye in the games ive seent hem play in. Frye is always hurried and looks frantic while Derek is poised and fairly accurate out of the pocket. Hopefully he'll give a couple good games for Quinn to take notes from before he steps out of the way for the new guy.

I think ultimately it will be too. The only thing that really irks me about all of it is, granted this is the WORST Frye ever looked in our uniform but if you were gonna pull him and trade him that quickly, why not just get it all over with in the offseason or preseason? The odds were stacked against him as it was.

Either way, best of luck for Frye in the land of the Seachickens. Best of luck to Anderson and here's hoping he provides some mediocre QB play. Congrats to Quinn as you'll be our boy soon enough.
