I dont know. I think our defense slid this year but us playing such sub par offenses and our offense finally producing helped the defense. Lets put it this way, if our offense takes a step back next season our defense, even if healthy, wont be able to carry us like they did in the past. We addressed our CB needs with Foxworth and Carr but now we desperatly need a young pass rusher on the D-line. Trevor Pryce, although still effective in the grand scheme of things, is not getting to the QB. And neither is JJ. The only guy getting close most of time is Suggs and he doesnt get there fast enough. I think if we focus all on offense this draft, I wouldnt be angry about it, but I wouldnt expect to see the number 2 defense next year.
Your offense can improve your defense, if you can follow me for a moment.

If Flacco matures at the rate he did last season, he should be ringing up some points. His improved passing will take men out of the box, and your trio of backs will start rumbling wild. The offense will consume play clock time, giving your defense a break. The rested defense will also have more opportunities to pin their ears back and rush after the opposing quarterback since you guys will most likely be playing with a lead this season, or a larger lead than you had last year. Not worrying so much about an opponent's rushing attack really opens up the front seven to fly after the quarterback, and the Ravens will get to him.
Maclin at 26? Are you crazy? Most draft experts have him going Top 10 consistently!! In fact, this evening, someone had Maclin going BEFORE Crabtree!
WRs slide ALL THE TIME each year from where they were originally projected.

Notice the very possible scenario I gave you b4 hand...showing that it isn't impossible. People seem to forget that OT/DT/DE/CB/QB are the premier positions in the 1st round. Not WR. And NONE of the WRs this year are that dominant to fall into that category. So yes...I think it's still relevant to talk about Jeremy Maclin; especially if we decide to make a play on him and trade up.

Soo shhhhut the front door cuz the breeze is getting chilly.
