Anymore Cbs Via Free Agency?

I still think the Ravens could use an established veteran at CB, as it would assure a top 5 pass defense next year. I think we could pick up someone like Dre Bly or recently released Mike Mckenzie. Resigning Samari or CMac wouldn't be bad either. Adding a veteran presence would make our secondary legit. Of course, signing a vet would result in us releasing someone at CB, maybe Frank Walker. I think releasing Walker can save $2 million too, so I wouldn't mind it.

Sooo, should we make a final run at a veteran CB, and possible release Frank Walker?

I think we are done with the CB position, although I think I read on NFL Network that Ozzie was open to bringing Rolle back....

He's more injury prone than C-Mac and Samari, I wouldn't pick him up if I was Ozzie.

Yes, his cap hit is $2.175 million.

I think he's easily replaceable - but replacement by a draft pick would be wisest...

Am I missing someone? Don't we only have 4 CBs on the roster right now? Foxworth, Washington, Carr, Walker. ohh and Anwar Phillips, if he stays out of jail. Oglesby is there too, so we have... 4 CBs that can play. Theres been numerous times in the past two seasons where we've had to start our 4TH and 5th stringers, and even a couple of times 5 and 6 were on the field as no 1 and 2 CBs. We need more depth than what we currently have. Two more CBs, love to get in a vet like Mckenzie and then a rookie signing. If releasing Walker frees up 2mil +, swap him out for someone else. We could do without his stupid hot headed penalties.

Of the two I'd pick C-mac, but that's just me...

Ozzie said that Samari Rolle could still be in their future plans.

And just bcuz we made some offseason moves at CB doesn't mean we're better off bcuz of it.

Foxworth is replacing C'Mac and Carr is replacing Rolle. Not much of an upgrade if you ask me.

If something happens to Washington who steps in? Walker? For the rest of the year? Or Carr who  has never been a starter...What if both Foxworth AND Washington go down? Carr and Walker for the rest of season :o

This is why I think we will still address the CB position in the 1st round. A 1st round corner can easily be a starting nickel back and if he comes along quick enough he can provide as a great spot man if something does happen to one of our starters.

DARIUS BUTLER: Cheap, Talented, and VERY athletic!

I wouldnt exactly say that.. Yes Foxworth is replacing C-Mac, but Fabian Washington is replacing Rolle and Carr is taking over Fabian's old duties..

I do think we will address cornerback sometime in the draft.. Preferably Vontae Davis in the first.. That way, we wouldnt have to rely on Carr as the nickelback, and maybe if he does good enough, he could start and push Fabian back to nickelback.. Similar to what Aaron Ross did in NY..
