Ravens Mock Draft With Nice Graphics

14 posts in this topic

So first off id like to mention this, i think that the ravens should resign Chris McALister to a 2 year deal worth 8 million dollars with 6 mill being bonuses and a 1 mil cap hit each year, McAlister may not be fast but he is worth the money as he is super physcial and we need a big physical guy, so now after we sign McALister we go the the draft

TRADE
The Baltimore Ravens trade down with Arizona as Arizona doesnt want to take a chance that Someone else will trade up for Knowshon Moreno or that the Eagles wil take him so they trade up and get the star runningback

I used the trade value chart and it works out fine

The Ravens get 1 (31), 3 (31), 4 (31)
The Cardinals get 1 (26), 5 (26) and 6 (26)

Hakeem Nicks is a great player who possesses every thing you want in a receiver except for break away speed, but he doesn

I would jump for joy if the ravens drafted like that.....I would have tears of joy.......

and Fili won't get 75 cuz JO had it
I wouldn't compare Xavier Fulton to Ryan Clady because Clady had elite feet and kick back
Fulton does not have as quick of feet as Ryan clady's
Fulton does get some nice push in the run game though so he would be great as a RT

I like it but, I don't know if C-Mac would except that deal...If he would that'd be great and the draft is very good as well. But, I don't like the Mark Parson pick. I still think we should get a bigger guy, cuz even if we did get C-Mac back we'd need a bigger physical guy after he departs.

Other than that. It is a really good draft. ;)

thanks guys
On Fulton i know he isnt like Clady but what i was saying that if he reaches his full potential he could be compared to Clady, hope that makes sense,

on parson, it was a toss up between Parson, Deangelo Smith and Keenan Lewis,
I was told Smith is more of a zone guy but i loved the fact he was agressive and on Lewis hes very physcial but inst as good in man to man as parson and didnt have as good technique so i went with parson

But Keenan Lewis is also a possibility

And i beleive that trade could happen

See Kia that's why I like you. Cuz you always think outside the box. You keep it fresh with your originality. Now there's a lot of great sleeper picks in there but no OL? you gotta think Ozzie is gonna come away with at least 1 lineman. I agree with you FB is a need but if Ozzie sticks with only 6 picks in this draft; which I highly doubt he will, you gotta figure he'd target OL in the 6th rather than a FB.

I rather draft Darrius Bey because I think Hakeem will be gone before the 20's Probrably by the Jets.

Most of the players you hear that sound like little known players are well known by all the other teams, everyone thinks they are getting Hakeem Nicks, DHB, Darius Butler (IQ's not the only one falling in love with Butler), Jarron Gilbert (The guy that jumped out of the pool <_< ), Brian Robiskie and many many more. Generally it's the players that perform well in the offseason through the pro days and senior bowl or the guys that have their value drop because of poor performances in these events. All of these "outside the square/box" picks seem to get suggested at one time or another with nearly all teams.

People tend to forget that the draft is a big ol' crap shoot and that most of these players never pan out because of unforeseeable reasons. I mean one minute you think you're getting the next Anquan Boldin but you end up with the another Taylor Jacobs. I like reading all these mock drafts and hearing the profiles about these little known players but in the end the draft is one unpredictable beast.

On topic:
I really like the idea of taking a big pass rusher because it addresses the huge hole left by Trevor Pryce if he ever get's injured again or retires soon. I think we need another big guy that can put a lot of pressure on the quarterback from the 3-4 DE spot like a Luis Castillo or Jay Ratliff. I'm not sure if Fili Moala is that guy but it certainly would be an interesting storyline having the two cousins playing on the same line together (Sometimes side by side).

Few concerns with Fulton; he has durability issues, he's a converted DE with the same sort of upside deal as Oniel Cousins (Inexperienced but learning) and he doesn't really have the aggression that most of our late round linemen have.

Don't really know anything about the other guys except that everyone's in love with Frantz Joseph's instincts, he seems more like a Nick Greisen or Andra Davis at best.
