Can Read Billick's Lips

8 posts in this topic

Am I the only one who noticed that most of the game you could read Billick's lips when the camera was on him? It's no wonder Cinci was ready for us when they probably had someone reading Billick's plays and reporting them over the phone to the coaches.

He is holding his chart under his mouth in stead of over and in front of it this season while the camera is coming in from slightly above and down on him. Who knows what effect it may have had.

Yes, I notice that too....

He needs to hide that more often, hold the chart up, closer to his mouth.

It's those little things in a game, not to mention , TURNOVERS...

at this point in the game, the camara should show him clearly saying F***, or G**D*****.

instead of the level of his play card.

except for the fact that most teams language is totaly different and mean different things, and that the defense doesnt have headsets in their helmets to get the info from the sideline in time to adjust that fast. Even if you know a play is coming you still have to excute to defend it. The advantage of knowing a play is slight, you may know its a pass or a run, but most pass plays you hit the open receiver. Like how many times do we get the ball at the 3, and throw to heap in the corner and he scores, everyone knows its coming and you cant stop it.

I didn't really notice it, but will definitely look out for it next time. That could be a problem.

especially since we play the Pats this year

Well playing anyone, may be a problem. If a average coach know the opponents plays, then you have a problem.

i really didnt see Billick on camera like that too much though. maybe twice or three times but thats not exactly giving away our whole offense.
