I saw this too, will probably end up being something boring and anything but "Breaking news."

Let's hope we signed Suggs longterm though :D

James Walker: (4:06 PM ET ) Hey everyone. I'm really sorry, but some breaking AFC North news has come my way that I need to follow up on. Therefore, I will have to postpone today's chat. -JW

Been almost an hour.....doubt its anything big since we haven't heard anything.

Actually, I heard the Browns, yes the stinking heaping Browns, want to trade Brady Quinn or Derek Anderson and a high draft pick to Denver for Jay Cutler (NNOOOO!). Then the AFC North would have the toughest division in all of sports because every team would all have good young QBs. That would SUCK!! Damnit Denver your mess better not spill into our division.

I heard they could also trade Cutler to the Buccs to get him out of the AFC altogether. Wow, a smart idea from Denver? They must have had help with that one.

Man, I hope it's not that Cleveland has a new QB!!

cant stand Cutler and would love to play him.

we'd be guranteed a few picks each game cause he slings it with no regard!!!!

i think the breaking news is the us signing LJ Smith to a 1 year/1.5 million dollar deal.
I agree with letting the Browns bring on cutler as he will now have to face our "D" twice a year which will mean a lot more picks for us as I cannot think of an AFC West defense on the same level as our defense.

Yup, that's exactly what I mean.
He's a turnover machine + our defense is a turnover machine = good times

Doe's anyone think since we signed lg smith were going to trade heap or is it to replace willcox. Or just to add another recieving tight end to our team.

I wouldn't be surprised if we traded Heap...I think he makes like $6M a year. I'm not holding my breath though.

Cool but i hope we do what anita said off the the scott and anita show and trade him to the cardinals and a 1st rounder for anquan boldin . Cause if we get boldin we wont need that 1st round pick any way cause we have boldin and there going to go wr in first round any way.

Food for thought...

Boldin wants Fitz money (4/40), but isn't quite as good
The Ravens could give him 4/36 with a 12 mil signing bonus up front money, that results in 6 mil per yr cap hit

Heap's cap hit = 6 mil

Financially, it can work out to be the same.

we r not going to get boldin and smith is prolly to replace wilcox, heap is the offensive ray lewis before this year

heap also only makes 3-3.5 mil

Great point that makes a bunch of sense this trade basicly gives us a number 1 wr while not damaging the cap cause the cap hit is the same.

Yeah ESPN loves to over hype stories. L.J. Smith will have a backup rolle and receive a 1 yr, $1.5 Million contract. Wow! Big scoop.

I was thinking maybe the Bengals made a big trade (they've been awfully quiet). Or maybe Ben-Gay got a new motorcycle (lol, Maybe Ogden should take him out riding. Thank goodness Ogden wears his helmet.) OR maybe we traded HEEEAAAP and a high draft pick for Anquan Boldin.

Now that would be HUGE! I'm not sayin that's what I want (sounds pretty good tho), I'm just sayin that would be a much bigger story than what I heard 3 hrs earlier on the radio.

Welcome to "Charm City" Smitty!
