I think Rex and the Jets might be playing with fire a little bit. Not to say that any of these guys are bad players because we all seen first hand that they are good. However, adding all of these role players, and the New York media viewing them as important peieces to Rex's defense could be trouble for him. If that Jets defensive team doesn't perform to top 10 status and the Ravens continue to perfrom well on defense, people in New will be wondering what is wrong with Rex. He brought all of his guys from baltimore, and he was suppose to make us a great what happened. We all know how that New York media can blow things way over the top.

So things like using that prevent defense we all hated so much, or not getting good pressure/sacks with the blitz scheme, would be overlooked in Baltimore but it will be front page news in New York.

So bringing in all of these former Ravens are great if it works out, but if it doesn't then the New York media and fans will give Rex no excuses.

Yes.

It seems like people in New York are getting awfully excited about adding a few complementary players, and an unproven entity in Bart Scott.

I have absolutely nothing against the Jets or their fans, but they've essentially anointed Rex as the savior, which, quite frankly, befuddles me.
