So whats the deal with our free agents
Daniel Wilcox- obviously showed he loves this team, he even got married at M and T Stadium, do we resign him?
Lorenzo Neal- one of the best if not THE best FB
Matt Stover- rumor was he was done but then heard he wasn't whats happening?
and last but not least our Franchise player Terrell Suggs, any news on a long term deal?

I am almost positive the Ravens are done with Stover for good.

And I dont think the Ravens are working that hard to try to sign T-Sizzles to a long term deal with free agency and draft coming up.

As long as Howshka does good Stover is done. i hate to say it and i love Stover but if we can keep 1 kicker and add an additional roster spot, it is not a bad idea.
Jameel Mcclain hasn't been signed yet either
He was an exclusive rights free agent. I think we retained him.

W/ L.J. coming to town Wilcox most likely is done

LoNeal may retire I want him back cause your right he is the best but like someone told me before in LoNeal's thread its time for McClain to step up although he creates pro-bowl Backs

Stover will be back for cheap too or he retires I don't see anyone else picking him up.

I'm really surprised that Stover hasn't been picked up. Isn't he the third most accurate kicker in the league? That means there should 30 teams (including us) with less accurate kickers; shouldn't someone want him? I know, I know he's old but there are active kickers older than he is so I don't get it. I really hope Oz signs him later.

Neal is the only one I think we should bring back, from a business perspective, which is what the NFL's general perspective is anyway...

Actually last season he wasn't to accurate. He made 81.8 percent of his Field goal attempts, as opposed to a career percentage of 83.7. On top of that his longest field goal was from 47 yards. Which is not considered elite. But the biggest concern, that teams have with him is his range, especially in contrast to kick-offs. He can't kick them any longer, as he is getting old, which forces teams to use an extra roster spot for a younger kicker (like we did last year with Hauschka) Younger kickers, who both kickoff and make field goals are atrractive, 'cause that roster spot can then be used for depth elsewhere. There are a few teams who have punters that can kick off (I think the Falcons is one), and those teams are the most likely to hire a veteran kicker. What often happens is that teams go intop the season believing/hoping that their young kickers can pull it off, and then after a few missed field goals, they'll bring in a veteran to make sure of the position, and keep the young guy for long field goals and kick-offs. Matt might be brought in for camp, to push Hauschka, but if Hauscka or [insert kicker here] looks ready in camp, he'll be the only kicker on our roster when the season begins. Stover will then be looked at by whichever team has kickers missing in the beginning of the season. Kind of like what happened with Morten Andersen the last couple of seasons.

Oh okay I get it now. Thanks, for clearing that up; I'm still kind of clueless with this stuff.

I hope THEY let Stover go if he isn't done. ALL last year every time it was time for a FG i had to look away from the TV the guy made me so damn nervous. HE has no more leg left in him.. he was so shaky last year.... he was lucky to make 30 yarders....
He is a GREAT guy.. but it is time to MOVE ON!!

I wonder where Kyle Boller is going to go? Maybe Detroit or most likely the Jets, since they seem so interested in signing our players.

I would love to retain Lorenzo Neal if he isn't retiring, as for Suggs, they probably wouldn't throw a deal his way until after the draft and they are done in free agency. Keep in mind we have to sign Ngata after this upcoming season or he hits FA as well.

Have WR Marvin Harrison or LB Derrick Brooks found a home yet? Whats our current situation with Neal Lorenzo?

We should draft a LB, and sign Harrison

or We should draft a WR and sign Brooks

Well, it seems like Wilcox is history.
Matt Stover too, maybe they will bring him back later.
Lorenzo Neal, that's a question mark, it would be good if we can sign him,
for one year, he can help us tremendously.

Kyle Boller signed as the backup QB for the Rams.

I really think (just a hunch) that we might be bringing back C-Mac, for much cheaper than what we had him for. He's not signed anywhere, and I haven't heard any interest in him from teams yet. Just watch. ;)

Personally, I think it would be good. He's still one of the better CBs out there, provided his knee allows him to be back to decent form. I'm sure Oz might have this in the cards, as you don't go talk to the Coach and then walk across the hall and talk to Oz who lets you go. Too fishy for me. But, we'll see. ;)

Until he can pass a physical neither the Ravens nor any other team will sign him.
