We Was Robbed/bad Play Calling By Billick/bad Comment By Kornheiser

20 posts in this topic

Certainly, the 5 previous turnovers did not help, but in the final drive by Boller, the ref made a HORRIBLE CALL on what should have been defensive interference but was called offensive interference on Heap - thus, negating the tying TD - the proper call would have eliminated both a 6th turnover as well as the following question to be asked, but here goes...

Why? Why? Why? We had 2, count 'em, 2 downs to get it in the zone! Why not run on 3rd down and see what happens?! One of two crucial bad calls by Billick tonight (the other being 3rd and 1 and we end up having Steve's pass intercepted leading to the Bengals' 2nd TD)! People want to razz on Boller (Tony Kornheiser asked, is he [boller] to be the "Almost-Quarterback"?). That kind of talk makes me sick. Kyle is a tough, high-calliber QB and Kornheiser should think first before saying such disparaging comments - very, very unprofessional on his part!

A little fired-up after watching the Ravens stay in the game until the very end!

It was a disappointing lost but we must recover quickly, the next game will be less emotional. At home against the Jets. We didn't get the benefit of the doubt and billick tried to hard to outsmart the bengals defense. Commentators are meant to make comments, good or bad. Half of the NFL will face disappointment each week. 0-1 possibly of 15-1...

Not defending Kornheiser but he rips everybody, it's his job on MNF and on PTI. Sometimes it's amusing and sometimes it isn't.

With that being said however didn't watch the game just saw the final score, tough loss.

Right on. What a tough loss. It is always worst to lose when you get robbed by the official. I am glad to see Boller play the way he did. I have always supported him and feel that he is continuing to improve.

To the Team, lets shake this one off and refocus, learn from our sloppiness tonight and get healthy and kick some a** the rest of the season.

I agree with everything you said, however you had 4 chances to pounded it in and chose to throw....you know the old saying "only 3 things can happen when you pass, and 2 are bad!"

Know what, ? that dude Kornheiser should really take courses from the NFL training corps VIA Bryant Gumble!!

Could it really get any worse?

You're right, I've noticed that the ESPN announcers really talk way too much, really about nothing you want to hear about the game.

It's more of a DRAMA, than the true game at hand.

I mean how many times did they have to show and talk about the "chad Johnson" jacket that he displayed.

And be really disappointed, when Chad didn't give a better show?

What brings me to...... HOW UNPROFESSIONAL CAN WE BE AT THIS NETWORK ??? To ware the "prop"??

That was really tasteless.

This has nothing to do with my or your favorite team winning. Just good judgement or their part...ESPN FOOTBALL !!!!

im leaning both ways on this 6 turnovers , can't do that and expect to win but on the other hand we had chances to win it on the punt return by ed reed, defense play pretty good i think giving that our offense put them in bad spots early and only gave up 12 points in the first half , but the refs blew the heap call clearly But.................todd should have caught the last pass kyle put it where he had to but didnt come up with the catch but , they will get it together and be ready for the jets at home

Players make mistakes in the heat of the momment on the field but there is no excuse coaching mistakes and the absolutly insane play calling. The lead in this game should have been protected at all cost by the offence so the defence could work it's magic. Thowing the ball on 3rd and short deep in the bengals terr. was nothing short of insane.... Add the fact that when it is 1st and goal from the 5 when you only needed less than 2 yrds per carry in 4 downs to score and tie the game and pass plays are called confirms that Billick needs to have his head examined.

The interference call against Todd Heap was freakin obsurd. I felt like knocking somebody out after that bull. How could the ref make such a bad judgement? It was obvious that Todd did nothing to aggressively push off the defender. That was a TD all the way and nothing else. Overall, the game sucked.

Awww ..here let me give you a box of kleenex .......how does it feel to beat by a bad call?I t happened to us last year when our boy was hit after five yards .......WE OWN THE RAVENS ....WHO DEY ...

Too bad that call wasn't near the endzone and it was the only bad call of the game. Yet houshmancrya blatently pushes our player after a play and gets no call, demetrius before the half got fouled on the 2 and no call, and ed reed gets called when their both fighting. Those refs were ******* stupid.

We turned the ball over SIX times. So what if the refs robbed us a tie at the end? We didn't deserve to win turning it over so much.

Btw Tony was also talking subtley about how "koch" could be pronounced a certain way. The other commentators quickly ended that conversation. XD

I love Tony, but he can be a bit annoying at times when he's sucking up to the NFL pop idols.

I cant get over THIS GAME IT IS EATING ME UP INSIDE AND I KNOW IT WONT STOP TILL WE END UP WINNING LIKE 3 STRAIGHT AFTER THIS WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!. The penalty the REF called when Heap TIED THE GAME UP in the end zone with that TD catch.

Heck even the announcers were SHOCKED!!. And to top it off BILLICK"S last minute play calling 2nd and 2 and you throw the ball?! and then 3rd and 2 and you throw the ball again!? with a RB like WILLIS OR MUSA!?.

what the heck Coach Billick needs to be fired(Heck he does not deserve to be called COACH by me anymore, *personal insult removed*b] and a new coach needs to come in this year or maybe not fired demoted a different coaching job for our TEAM I am serious about that I do not plan on watching next weeks game thats how UPSET I STILL AM.

I had to go take 7 sleeping pills last night I am lucky it didn't kill me because I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep and part of me was so down about the game I really wanted to die / the other problems going on in my life right now the GAME JUST ADDED TO EVERYTHING EVERYTHING OFF. Ray Lewis will be out probably for a month who knows who else, probably Steve McNair will be out for a bit, maybe even REED he is probably QUESTIONABLE, and JON OGDEN'S TOE ONCE AGAIN, they should have LET HIM RETIRE AND SAVED MONEY MAYBE HAD MONEY TO KEEP AD. Ogden is all about the money he knew in the back of his mind his toe wont heal right his CAREER IS DONE WITH, thats why he was going to RETIRE BUTT NO We offer him all this money and he stays, heck who wouldn't know I am sure inside he has this HUGE SMILE sitting back collecting mega bucks doing nothing while Terry fills in all year. Our team is headed down a BIG GIANT SPIRAL if RAY doesn't play or get back in within a week or so and same with the others. I freaking HATE THE BENGALS SO MUCH MORE THEN THE COLTS I ALWAYS HAVE AND THERE COCKEYNESS IS QUITE ANNOYING, I REALLY HOPE CHAD JOHNSON GETS HIS CLOCK CLEANED THIS YEAR AND PUTS HIM OUT FOR A MONTH OR SO. Sorry I wish that but that guy strikes all my nerves I cannot stand his skinny little pubescent chin haired lanky as$$.:angry::angry::angry:

Any Bengal fans on this BOARD if you read this you know damn well that game should have went into OT. That Todd Heap TD should not have been called back!, and you know this admit it.

BENGAL FANS SEE YA IN BALTIMORE WHERE WE WILL GRIND YOU INTO THE DIRT JUST LIKE LAST YEAR!!. Look to split once again this year which should not happen we should take it 2-0.

Should have been a non-call on the Heap TD. Should have been 27-27 with a minute to go.

Sometimes the players lose the game, sometime the refs lose the game for you.

It's horrible when games are decided by a phantom call.

Why didn't Billick pound it up the middle? McGahee was averaging 4+ yards per carry... Boller was cold, you can't expect him to come in and win the game like this, interesting coaching to say the least.

You would have KILLED us had you not turned over the ball 6 times.

Ray is a stud, playing with a torn tricep or ruptured bicep whatever it was - incredible.

Not sure why there is so much hate for CJ, maybe if he played for another team I would understand.

Ravens fans, I wish you the best of luck (until November 11) - beat the Steelers and grind the Browns into the turf.

it almost makes me sad to see a fan of another team praising the Ravens like that when most of our own fans keep coming with the disses. it was a damn good game down to the end, despite the turnovers and whatnot. The Ravens put on a Heroic effort but in the end they jsut couldnt overcome turnovers, injuries, and bad calls by the refs all at once.

as for CJ, I don't hate him, he's a damn good wideout but the trash talk is just pointless. all that build-up of the "best td celebration ever" for a H.O.F jacket (poorly made at that)? I'd rather see someone quietly lead a team to victory with his play than brag and do the same.

I thought the same thing. I could not believe that Billick called a passing play. I was so pissed. They should have ran McGahee till he went in.

I agree. Watching this game made me sick to my stomach, halfly because the ravens played so poorly on offense and turned the ball over six times. The other half that made my stomach turn was the calls by the refs! They were absolutely biased on their calls towards the ravens. They realized they messed up with the pass interference call on Heap, so they immediately made an opposite call on the very next play to give us four more downs. Too bad they couldn't have just made the correct call on the touchdown Heap had to begin with, or this would've been a tied game going to OT.. Disgusting...

size="3"]I loved billick's cocky and arrogant play calling. Steve McNair needs to retire, he's an embarrasment to the league( 3 TO in the first quarter ha,ha,ha,ha) . Everyone talks about the ravens #1 defense( over rated ) and the new and improved offense (ha,ha,ha,ha). I saw niether last night. Ravens looked really bad and I'd be surprised if they finish 8-8. Being a Bengal fan I just love the collapse of the old and very over rated ravens. See you in september when the Bengal tigers eat the birds for lunch. Bengals 5 wins in last 6 meetings. Go jets! :P

as opposed to the "high powered offense" who coud only muster points when the Ravens (essentially) HANDED them the ball? How many points did the Bengals ACTUALLY earn against the ravens? 3! oh damn, im sure the pussycats are making the whole league quake in their little booties.
