according to espn "experts" they are in win or lose today. Even Dicky V said they are in.

After beating Wake everyone I've heard is saying the terps will most likely be in the dance, Winning today would only secure it.

I'm going for UNC myself, Hansbrough is from Poplar Bluff, Bout 100 miles from here... Besides I like Ty Lawson. Overall though gotta stick with my team which is in the Big 12

ok i'm making this a tourney thread (i can't change title maybe a mod can?) i think the terps will win their first round match against cal. but lose in the 2nd.

Terps put the beatdown on Cal. We just had too much in the tank for them. We played really well. It was a complete victory. Game top scorer was Grevis Vasquez with 27, though everyone in RED came to play today. I like our chances against Memphis.

I was shocked to see Memphis struggle today for most of the game, so Maryland might actually have a fighting chance.

Maryland really has a really good chance of winning. Memphis plays in conference USA. Not exactly the toughest conference in the world. The Terps play in arguably the toughest (arguably b/c of the Big East). They pretty much dominated Cal who play in a weaker conference then the ACC/Big East and even though Cal was statistically better (higher seed..etc) MD won and would win more then 50% of the time.

I just kind of think of MD this year as a Raven 08 type team. No glamour, just well coached, just business, and pride. Colts Blowout...Duke Blowout, Heartbreaker loss (Duke)....Heartbreaker loss (Pittx2)...Huge Win (Wake, NC).....Huge Win(Cowboy,Redskin, Eagle)

What these dudes are able to do despite a glaring lack of size and length all year is amazing. Luckily, we have some good young bigs coming in next year.

Gary Williams is basically like a general winning a battle with 50,000 troops against an army of 100,000 troops all year long.

It's the hustle of guys like Mosley, Milbourne, Neal, and Bowie that makes up for lack of size. Vasquez and especially Hayes of late are providing great leadership on the floor.

Memphis will be tough but we have a shot. Conventional wisdom says a 10 has no chance against a 2, but we'll see.

half the acc got eliminated last night and the ohio state sienna game was amazing. i have to work today so i'll miss the terps. here's hoping they pull off the upset on memphis!!!!

I like the Terps and all, But if they do..... I think the end of the road for them is the next week.


So, My bracket pretty much fell apart last night... I had Wake in my final 4...I wanna cry, And what is Wisconsin doing beating FSU?

leaves me duke , unc,and the terps. i cheer hard for the terps but when tourny time comes i want to see the acc win.

i will never cheer for duke lol except when they played some1 and duke said acc was best and the other team said their conf is best then i cheered for duke but duke in championship i will not cheer too bad terps lost hopefully north carolina wins my teams are terps gators and if unc is in the championship ill cheer for em cause i kinda like em

Mizzou blew a 16 point lead...They still came out with the win though, I dont really think it was a lapse from us though Marquette brought thier A+++++ Game in the second half.


Were gonna need to bring ours against Memphis, Im not a strong believer in Memphis though.
