Just wanted to throw my two cents in here as well...I also think the 49ers. They were dang near close on beating the Cardinals this past year, it was a Monday night game that came down to the last two seconds. Play calling lost that game for the 9ers...they did a qb sneek or a run (cant remember which) and were stuffed at the goal line.
I think if Shaun Hill starts from the beginning of the season, rather then halfway through like he did last year, to clean up JT O'Sullivan's mess, that the 9ers could've been a very different team last year. Now I'm not saying Hill is a star by any means, but I think he can lead that offense. and I think with Pat Willis on that defense and Singletary being in charge from day one of the 09 season (remember he took over as head coach part way through last season) this is going to be a very different/stronger team.

O really?

The under performing Chargers.

The under performing Broncos.

The horrible Oakland Raiders.

The Chiefs have a good offense with Cassel, Bowe, Tony G and LJ. Their D is young and improving. They have Dorsey at tackle and two great young corners. Bernard Pollard is a rising star, and were in a lot of close games last year even with no real QB.

I'm not saying I think they'll win the division, but I don't think its crazy to imagine them make some noise next year. They have a fiery young coach and a solid qb, anything is possible.

The chargers could run away with the division, but if they underperform.... I could see the Chiefs make a push. The Broncos have severe problems with the whole Jay Cutler situation, not to mention the defense. And the Raiders... well, I just highly doubt they win more then 5 or 6 games.

I see where hes coming from for sure

I think the Raiders are moving in the right direction and may surprise. The Chargers under performed last year for sure, but I don't see them struggling to win that division.

Battle of the basement (IMO) will be the Broncos/Chiefs.

haha.....both of these were already explained before i got to it

i know the chiefs is a bold pic......but i dont see it as a crazy pic

i think they have some fire and i think cassel might be the qb to release it

and on a side note....neepo how do you not have the steelers making the playoffs

I second that question. Especially when you have the Cardinals making it again.

Maybe neepo is just going for the bold picks too.

Come on Prophet, you know the Steeler's wont make the playoffs next year. You guys got a good shot at being mediocre at best. I say 5-11 this year for Pittsburgh. Ben's not going to get lucky anymore and its very evident that your defense is truly slipping away. It's pretty unfortunate but its the cold reality of my dreams my friend. Ha Ha Ha. B)

AFC N: Steelers (i have to give them this slot due to winning SB(ravens fan all teh way though)
AFC E: Pats
AFC W: Chargers (last year was just bad luck)
AFC S: Titans
WC1: Ravens
WC2: Jets

NFC N: Vikings
NFC E: Giants
NFC S: Saints
NFC W: 49ers
WC1: Panthers
WC2: Eagles

KEEP IN MIND, this can change after the draft

AFC Explanations:
Steelers i have there just cause they won the SB, they deserve something (unfortunately)
Patriots had lost Tom Brady, when you have Tom Brady to Randy Moss... you could be on the 1 yard line and it will still be a TD pass
Chargers: Only team in the west that makes sense
Titans: so what they lost haynesworth, they still have chris johnson, enough said
WC1: They haven't lost too much, they'll start slow which will put them in the WC race
WC2: Have you not seen their FA moves?

NFC Explanations
Vikings.... who's the competition?
Giants with the best OL and DL in the NFL how could u not pick them
Saints from last to first, isn't that the south motto for the NFC?
WC1 Panthers: as long as they have peppers and smith they have a chance
WC2 Eagles: they still have sheldon brown asante samuel westbrook and mcnabb, nuff said

I think the NFC North is the toughest to pick. Between the Bears, Vikes and Pack, no team is better overall than any other.

I think the Vikings are hands down the best overall team, not even close. The problem(which is a pretty big one) their roster is QB obviously. If Sage/TJack can just manage a game and make some plays like Joe did last year they will win that division easily. I'm pretty sure Sage is going to win the job, his main problem last year was turning the ball over as much as he did. Tjack's problem is he sucks. LOL

You know as much as I hate the Cowboys, as much as I want to see the Steelers crumble, I personally cannot wait to see the Falcons go down. All of the Matt Ryan worship needs to be nipped in the bud.

I know! Even when Joe Flacco made it to the playoffs, all I heard was "Look at what Ryan has done with the Falcons." After the Ravens made it to the conference I'm still hearing people say that Matt Ryan did soooo much more for Atlanta.
And the messed up thing is that even if, -who am I kidding?- Even when Joe does well in the coming years, we will probably still be hearing about Matt Ryan.

i bet matt ryan doesn't do well at all next year, and joe flacco puts up near pro bowl #'s (only reason they wouldn't be is we have to deal with tom brady and peyton manning) and then they'll blame the falcons FA due to loss of key personnel and they'll turn and say if it wasn't for their defense flacco wouldn't be so good.... or if it wasn't for cam cameron ... yadahyadahyadah this will form into one of the great QB rivalries i bet.... will be somewhat like the manning brady one

Flacco won't make the Pro Bowl because:

1. There are too many good QBs in the AFC. Manning, Brady, Rivers, Cutler, Roethlisberger, Palmer (?)...
2. The Ravens run more than they pass. This is a good thing, BTW.
3. He doesn't have enough receivers to get sufficient stats - at least as of now, pre-draft.

i said near pro bowl #'s for exactly your #1 reason, and i wouldn't necessarily consider Roethlisberger "pro bowl" he like us is conservative based (for most part), run first team, no "OMG" recievers... they have decent ones though Cutler will probably be out of the AFC, i'd agree with Manning Brady and Rivers though

for dallas i'd have to say depends how roy williams... (the only one on the team now) does, if he is a bust than they'll miss the playoffs all together, the eagles i feel has lost too much in FA, i'd actually think the giants would win that division, and south i feel is a throw up (both of them)

I don't see anything changing except the wild cards ( in terms of being in the playoffs ) Cowboys out and Dolphins out of the playoffs. Maybe Cards losing to the Rams their playoff seat, but I just don't see that happening with that defense.
