Actually he didn't steal them, they were FREE AGENTS, they could have signed anywhere they wanted. if we really wanted them we could have done everything in our power to keep them. although Scott was a tremendous talent for us and played really well in our system, he can be replaced. we have a lot of depth at linebacker in barnes, gooden, griesen. Leonhard played really well stepping in for Landry, but let's face it, the only reason he saw the field is because Landry was injured. With Landry healthy he would have to compete for the job. The most interesting thing to me is the Troy Smith thing. During preseason a lot of people on this forum were downging Troy, saying that he'll never be a starter and it felt like people didn't want him on this team. Honestly speaking, if Troy has the opportunity to go somewhere else and start, I think he should take it and I'd wish him all the best, because he has talent and I want him to prove he doubters wrong. I would be glad for him if he goes to NY and starts. He deserves a shot.

Why would you want Troy to go to the jets?He is our 2rd string QB There arn't any other free agent QB"s worth a crap and troy Knows our system.Its not like he is a 3rd or 4th string guy.

i agree, if the guy has a shot to start somewhere else, it would be selfish of us to keep him as a backup, and let's face it, after the year joe had last year, troy isn't going to see the field unless something bad happens to joe, then he'll be back on the bench. it's just funny how a lot of people are so hell-bent on keeping troy around now. don't get me wrong, it's not that i want troy to leave, he's my favorite college football player (i still back ohio state because of him). but i also wish to be fair to him, he should take the opportunity to start somewhere if he is given the shot.
