Mock Offseason (read!)

With Terrell Suggs holding out on his deal to sign an extension as he is waiting for ware and Harrisons contract it looks like hwll want the same deal as they got and IMO he isnt worth 100 million dollars, so here is my proposition of what we should do

With Brandon marshall most likely levaving denver and denver moving to the 3-4 i would love for this to happend and i believe it works for both sides, We trade Terrell Suggs and a 2nd round pick to Denver for Brandon marhsall and there 1st round pick, it works as Denver needs a 3-4 leader and suggs is the best at stopping the run and protcting the pass and they gain an extra secoun rounder to buid the defense, WE get Marhsall, who yes is troubled but we can calm him down, there was no leadership in that lockerroom for him and we have Ray and a guy by the name of John Harbaugh, plus we get good value for suggs and can get a quailty player in the draft

The Draft

Round 1 (pick 12) - From DEN
Malcolm Jenkins CB - 6'1 205
The Ravens grab there franchise cornerback witht his pick, Jenkins may not be fast but what we need is a guy that will get into receivers faces and press them at the line and get physiacl, Jenkins is that, he has great hips and vision, is a great taclker and wants to be a raven, it is the perefect match and he gives us the corner we want for a long time

Round 1 (pick 26)
Aaron Maybin - OLB - 6'4 250
Maybin is a great athlete and has the best first step in this class, he explodes off the snap and has great qucikness, he coul dgain 10 more pounds an get upto 260 which is a good weight for his height, he struggles against the run wut with technique he will imporve, he also has ngata infront of him so that helps, Suggs wasnt anything but a rusher we he cam here and that is what maybin is but we teached suggs to be the best in every aspect and that is hwat we will do with maybin, he will get us 12+ sacks a year and is a hometown boy, hes a good friend of ray (although who isnt lol) so it is a great fit

Round 3 - Pick 26
Antoine Caldwell C - 6'2 310
With the ravens two biggest needs filled already with Marshall and jenkins the ravens grab a center for the future, Caldwell is a graet player and led a very good bama line, he lacks elite strength but he can bulk up and gain the muscle mass needed to play at C, he is a projcet and will learn from matt Birk and take the reins in 3 or so years and lead our young line, Gaither - Grubbs - Caldwell - Chester - yanda, looking good in a few years isnt it?

Round 4 - Pick 26
Frantz Joseph - ILB - 6'2 - 255
Joseph is a physcial monster and just plays mean and nasty, he is a ravens player and will take over when ray retires, he is very instictive and reads plays very well, closes quickly and is a great tackler who deliveers the knockout hit every play, needs to improve his technique but hell be a great Special teams player until he lines up next to gooden in a few years

Round 5 - Pick 26
Clinton McDonald - DE - 6'2 288
McDonald isnt the fastest or strongest player in this crop of DT/DE's but he has a lot of heart and has a non stop motor, he dosent ngive up on plays and is a very good athlete, as he rushes the passer he always has his legs moving whcih forces lienman to bend and he uses his speed to get to the QB, Once he has a player locked in his sights he definitly hits hard, he can lay the wood, once engaged he can shed blocks well and has thrown 330 pound lineman around in college, plays and tries hard and is great depth at DE for us, we have lots of NT depth, we need DE deth and McDonald gives us that

Round 6 - Pick 26
Quinn Johnson - FB - 6'1 - 250
With Neal still undecided it istn looking likely hell return so we get a big bruising FB who can block extremly well and enables us to keep the heavy package with L'Train ao its just fits, nuff said

So as you can see we have a great young team here, we lose suggs and his 100 mil contract but we gain a great replacement that can learn and become as good if not better than suggs aswell as gainign our franchise corner and a stud WR for Flacoo to work with that makes us a team not to mess with,

Flacco/ Smith
McGahee/ Rice/ McClain
Johnson
Marshall/ Mason/ Clayton/ Williams/ Smith/ Figurs
Heap/ Sypniewski
Gaither/ Anderson/ Terry/ Cousins
Grubbs/ Yanda/ Chester/ Hale
Birk/ Caldwell

Ngata/ Pryce/ Edwards/ McDonald
Gregg/ Bannan/ McKinney
Maybin/ JJ/ McClain/ Barnes
Lewis/ Gooden/ Joseph/ Gresien/ Ayanbadejo
Jenkins/ Washington/ Foxworth/ Walker/ Martin
Reed/ Landry/ Zbikowski/ Nakamura
Koch/ Hauskca

Can you Say Super Bowl for the next 5 years
Its a young team aswell with only 6 players over 30 on the team

dude that sounds awesome... ive been working like crazy. so i havent had as much time to keep my mind on possible moves we could do...

i just watched ozzie's last video where he was talking about not being done and all that so i got to thinking...

i thought about marshall but never really thought about an idea like this.... i love the idea and think it could be very possible..

the only problem i see with it is denver then would be screwed in the WR position and cutler is already not happy at all

Whoa...

No way Sizzle gets a $100M from anyone, not even close to that...
and although CB is a priority, I don't think it's necessarily first round priority when we're hurting a lot worse at DE and WR. I wouldn't object to having Maybin, but again, OLB isn't nearly as much as a priority as the other two positions I mentioned.

I agree that Suggs isn't worth 100 MIL. Until this story is confirmed however i'm not jumping to conclusions. As for Brandon the idea is good because on the feild he would fit the team however he just doesn't fit the Harbaugh philosophy. Which is exactly why we won't go after him.

Terrell Suggs is worth 3 Brandon Marshal's...

The Ravens are not going to let Suggs go especially now that we've lost Scott + Brown. It's not happening. Anyway, swapping our 2nd for their 1st and trading Suggs for Marshal is a rip off!

If anything they would have to give us their 1st AND Marshal. Forget about us giving them extra. That's like the Redskins trading Albert Haynesworth for Todd Heap and still having to give up a draft pick.

By the way, Brandon Marshal is probably going to be suspended again for beating his girlfriend. The only reason he's not in jail now, or should I say, the only reason he was released from jail, was bcuz she dropped the charges. If you recall, Brandon Marshal was suspended for 3 games last year bcuz of off-field behavioral problems. So why would we want to step into that mess?

brandon marshall ain't leaving denver. fans are so desperate for a reciever that ppl just start jumping at the chance of any big reciever having problems with their team. marshall might have problems, but he is a bigger deal in denver than anywhere else, supposed to be the next t.o and all to them, they're not getting rid of him.

Uuuhhh NEVER! Good try tho. Way to think outside the box. It's better than the trade Rolle Mason and Heap for Boldin idea I heard from someone else.

I like it but o-line depth is also a huge question mark. Nobody knows how our backups will perform if there is a season ending injury.

I think eventually, we are going to have to get past the numbers of the contracts that some of the top players in the league are getting because eventually, if you continue to refuse to pay top dollar for the best players, you will end up with nothing but second teir players on your team.

Brandon Marshall is going to command a big contract as well and with his age and upside, we might end up having to pay him Fitzgerald type of money. Either way we are going to have to pay. I'd rather pay Suggs over Marshall because we know what we get with him, he's always on the field, and he stay's out of trouble. Marshall is looking at a very lenghty suspension and if guys like Chris Henry and Pacman Jones have taught us anything, its that trouble just seems to find some guys. Marshall seems to be one of those guys.
