I don't know how true it is, but it's gossip this is what it's suppose to do. Get us talking. However i'm sure if Flacco's agent knew about Holt being in the build then atleast one media member was witness to it as well and we would have heard something.

Maybe Ozzie and the Ravens have a circle of trust when it comes to imformation like this and know one opens there mouths. I highly doubt it, but hey stranger things have happend

He spoke for him during the auction and introduced himself as his agent to a room of 400 people with a name tag and during his speech. Its what he told me and I could care less if you believe it or not. Im just trying to inform everyone on here. If you feel my source is invalid then so be it. Theres plenty of other posts for you to read. Read it carefully the quote was said by his agent "Harbs didn't like him" thats what Joe Linta said not what Coach said.

Thats kinda what you're doing is bragging...
I think the Jets D will be good this year, but I just don't see them being "sick" in one year with a brand new defensive system and two guys who know it. Give it at least another year under Rex's system and I'll agree...

Would love to see Torry Holt here if we can get him at a reasonable price, but I doubt he was in Maryland. What will probably happen is the Rams will grant him his release, he is due for a big bonus here very soon and they will let him go before having to shell that out. At that point, it will be interesting to see what happens...

I also asked what his major was in college

This breakdown of the Jets is laughable. You honestly think that adding Bart Scott,Jim Leonard, Lito Sheppard, Tyson Jackson ( [u][b]A ROOKIE)[/b][/u]make this team go up to a top 5 defense after being ranked 16th last year? The same Lito Sheppard that was 4th on the depth chart in Philly by the end of the season is going to make this passing defense improve over the 29th ranked squad last year? You also think a rookie defensive end is going to have that big of a impact in his 1st year? Do you realize that most rookie defensive ends hardly even make an impact on a team in their 1st year? Since Rex is their, Gholston is all of the sudden going to be a monster? I find it hard to believe that a defense that wasn't even close to great last year is going to be a top 5 defense.

You guys need to chill. Shadow has been a member on this site for a pretty long time, and not once can I recall him making a post in an effort to grab attention and/or get a reaction. You can doubt some of these things actually happening, i.e. Holt being in Baltimore, but don't personally attack the poster as he has a good record, and even posted pictures of being at the event.

I realize that I may be jumping the gun as pictures with players =/= talking to an agent, but still.

By the way, I agree with Ravensfan23's breakdown of the Jets defense in most facets, but to summarize, Gholston, Leonhard, Law and Douglas are easily backups on our team, and Sheppard, Scott and Ellis still have a TON to prove. I could see that team sneaking into the top ten if everything goes according to plan, but they could easily regress as well. You cannot be a top five, maybe not even top ten, defense without a line, and the Jets most certainly do not have a Dline at this point.

Torry Holt is still in contract for 45 mil there is no way he can come and work out because that would be tampering unless he is released. This is like samaries case. The reason he wants to be released is because he wants to sign before all the spots are taken.

That is all gossip is. BS. It gives u something to talk about. The man didn't say that any of this is fact, it was just something he heard.

The same way we all HEARD Ozzie matched an offer for Bart Scott, it was BS but it had everyone talking. Gossip is something that is unproven and means nothing until the facts are laid out.

All the Ray Lewis stuff this offseason was gossip rumors, and BS. All the money that the Cowboys was suppose to offer, Rex was suppose to go after him, Ware's comments, all BS because nothing actually came from Ray's mouth.

Gossip is designed to give u something to talk about and u beleive what u believe. I'm not one of the predominate posters on this board but i know right from wrong, and attackin someone for doing something that is done everyday, and for doing something that he thought was helpful is wrong.

If u disagree fine. But don't attack a man's or woman's character because he doesn't have solid proof, especially when he openly tells u that everything he says is GOSSIP.

His lobb to Flacco last season was down right perfect though. I hope the Jets get Him and He starts, That way the Troy supporters and the Troy Doubters can all shut up and we can find out who knows what about Him. To me He's just another Vince Young or Kordell Stewart, one time they look good, the next they look terrable. At least there not as bad as Boller IMO, look like a top 5 QB in one game, and then look like the worst ever for 13 other games. 2 games He might have looked medicore at best.

Isnt that the case with any young QB though? Smith has his bad moments and he has his good moments just like Flacco. Flacco wasnt perfect. I wish everyone would just stop choosing sides with these guys. Whether you love Flacco or Smith, it doesnt matter. The only important thing is we are set at QB, no matter what happens.
