Jo_75's Mock Draft 2.0

Note: This has been updated through the Signings of TJ, Ray Lewis and Matt Birk.

1. Detroit Lions- Aaron Curry LB- Taking a QB here is very much likely, but defense wins championships. I look at the Lions to rebuild the defense with the first overall pick. Curry

pretty good mock. i like where you were going with that. just a few notes

aaron maybin can't play 4-3 DE. he's too small and can't play with the weight he'd need to add. a 3-4 team will have to take him to play the rush olb spot

that's pretty high for william moore, who many don't even have as the top safety anymore

i see that you're trying to be different with the chargers pick, but they could use some help in other areas before taking a RB. namely 3-4 DE, or ILB

the giants added a LOT to their defense in free agency. an OLB and a DE. on top of that, umenyura (it was him that was out, not tuck) is returning at the other DE spot

i could nit pick on a few things, but good work. it's different

Questions I got, not knocking you by any means. Denvers pick theyre switching to a 3-4 and to make the 3-4 work you need a massive NT to take up space, I dont know if Maualuga will be as effective as he can be without a space eater (someone told me on the board Lewis got to 260 to deal with blockers and he has Ngata and Bannan/Gregg on the line...dont know if Maualuga can do it without a big body). BJ Raji perhaps considering there are so many hybrid OLB in the draft. I think the eagles need to get a lineman with Runyan being out basically the year with microfracture and ontop of that I think hes 36?

Agree with Mod9 Moore isnt a first round selection anymore.

Rest of your selections make sense...It may not be the exact player come draft day but the positions make sense.

Louis delmas is the top ranked safety kiwanuka is staying on the d-line which is his natural position its the one he played in college and I think b.j. Raji is a greatpick for the broncos if he gets past the top 10 where he is projected to go

Yeah there are things that kind of don't make sense, but I wanted to be different. With LT back in San Diego I may choose someone else for the chargers in 3.0. Andre Smith definitly will fall from where I have him at # 7. I can't believe his Pro Day, he may think he will still go in the top 15 but come draft day he'll fall fast, possibily to the second round.

how do you not have Laurinitis going in the first and the Ravens shouldn't pick a wide reciever unless its Crabtree

"how do you not have Laurinitis going in the first and the Ravens shouldn't pick a wide reciever unless its Crabtree"

Seriously?

Because Laura isn't worthy of a first round pick he is the most over-rated player on most boards. I have seen him in person. All he does is beat up on cupcakes in his conference, *** his stats, and craps the bed against good teams. He was an absolute non-factor against Penn State and other top teams. The ONLY reason we know who he is, is because his daddy was a wrestler. Padded stats and for someone who was supposed to be a physical freak he put up rather average numbers at the combine. The Ravens won't take him, thank god they're smarter then that.

Oh and I wasn't aware that the Ravens had a top 5 pick in this year's draft so they could pick Crabtree. Doesn't make a lot of sense...

Thats the point we dont. Thought you would catch that. Lauraitus shaved .14 off the forty and hes probaly faster than that could it possibly be that he just had a bad day? No that never happens. The fact is if he was bad like you say he is the scouts wouldn't have him as the number ILB. He is also very smart saw some interviews of him and I like his demeanor.

laurinitis is defenitly not the right choice for us. His skill set would allow him to thrive in a basic 43. The 34 defense that we run would require a linebacker with the skill set like Rey Maualuga. You never know, because of his injury, Maualuga may fall to us. I doubt it, becuase either San Diego or Denver is likely to take him, but if he does fall to us, that would be a nice pick.

uhhhhh...... Heyward Bey? Maclin? Britt? Robiskie...MAYBE...if all the others are gone...?

there are plently of recievers worthy of first round picks, in fact some experts have Maclin ranked above Crabtree.

thats just because of Crabtree's injury. Hakeem Nicks was an all of a sudden guy. no one was talking about him till a month ago. Britt is a diva but i do like his size oh and he didn't play any real good defenses. Maclin I dont know theres just something I dont like about him he seems really small. I like Heyward -Bey but he cant run routes. Roebiskie would be good in the 2nd with a trade up
