Go after Owens. We need a big receiver. Yes he is 36, but he keeps himself in great shape. Harbaugh, Lewis and company run a VERY tight ship. One year deal. Hired mercenary. Owens and Mason. That may be just enough to get past the Steelers.
People make too big of a deal about his personality. I don't care that he throws fits when he doesn't get the ball. He wants to compete and win. I don't mind a guy with his passion and work ethic. I think his physical dominance and route running would put our team over the top. He draws double coverage all game long. Think about what that does for heap across the middle or a screen to Rice? Mason is always open, imagine the season he would have with T.O. there. Plus he's going to be playing with a huge chip on his shoulder.
Too big a deal?? When you call your teammate a h o m o, tell the media that your QB quit on the team during the SB, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc., his personality HAS to become a serious consideration before bringing him on board.
Not to mention that the guy has hands of stone and is older than the dirt that comprises the stone...

Just Say No to TO

I'm good with him calling Tony a ****, i tend to agree. CHOKESHOW. Bottom line, you bring in T.O it is a guaranteed 1,000+ yds, 10+ TD.

Do you really think he will sign a one year deal? Any team that wants him will have to offer up at least 3, i guarantee that.
this is dumb IMO
It gives them a huge cap hit and now they cant do anything the rest of FA and wont be able to resign D-ware
Dallas = run by idiots lol
its apparently only a $680,000K cap hit, but saves Jerry Jones $5.77M in cash.

Your right. I meant give him a strong signing bonus upfront for the first year of that multiyear deal.

lmao, well I cool with that too (just for the record, he called Garcia a h o m o, but easy to make that mistake since, well, it is Romo we're talking about), but what happens when he says it to one of our guys?
I think also that his days of 1k yards and double digit TD's are over... he just barely made those marks this year, and is in serious decline.

All I can say is LOL. I bet he didn't see THAT coming!! My best friend is a die hard Cowboys fan, and I just left him a voicemail proclaiming my joy at his favorite player being cut. He is asleep and I hope beyond hope that my voicemail gets to him before he hears the news through other channels. SEE YA T.O.!!

Edit - And hey fly, how is your wife doing? Oh, that's right, she is with me now! Mwuahahhahaha!!

I like T.O. Skills and all his touchdown attics. He got the size, the speed and the skills that we should could use at that postion but with all that comes his thing for messing up the chemistry of a team. Unless T.O. Sign a deal where if he disrupts the team in anyway he will be cut and not paid at all. with all the good he has done to a team , did he help bring a ring? I know he came close a couple of times but still no prize at the end of the year.... I say let him go be some other teams headache

Remember when in 2004 he showed dissatisfaction for playing with the ravens and he showed immediately his desire to join McNabb, what he did the next day ! We don't need a 35 immature baby on our team ! I still think though that he is extremly talented and that he would help any teams on offense i don't doubt about this, but here's a guy that shout on the QB when he dont get the ball and critized very quickly for none while nobody say anything when he drops those deep balls ! Joe and the entire team don't need that, Joe needs a modest and experienced guy like mason and some young guys around him to really feel like a the young leader he is. I don't know where he'll end up, but the only team he would not kill would be the Giants, coz Jacobs will be behind his ****** lol ! i just think it didn't even cross Ozzie's mind to bring him !

Plus it would be waste of money coz ray would kill him like "Whose dance were u immitating when u played against us !!!?"

ummm... KYLE BOLLER was the Ravens QB at that time. ANYONE would have shown dissatisfaction with coming here. Derrick Mason wasn't a starting receiver in Tennessee at that point because they had people like Tyrone Calico and company, so he was just happy to get to a place where he could have a bigger part in the offense.

Fact is... Ravens need better offensive output to beat the Steelers. If Clayton and Williams can stay healthy and Flacco can improve his awareness... or if Cam Cameron can not change his play calling completely from everythign that had worked the rest of the year just because he is scared of the Steelers... then they might just be able to do it without gaining any new pieces. But I sure think another wide receiver would help the cause.

Almost but didn't want too!! I don't want him here!! He will mess up the whole philosophy. You think Todd heap didn't get his hands on the ball at all last year? Just wait.. I think the chances of T.O coming here are slim to NONE. He'll want way to much $$$

People...PEOPLE...look at me, It's not gonna be that bad.

We have outstanding leadership. Harbaugh and T.O. have a relationship. Cam Cameron has been in Ozzie's ear for awhile now asking for a big, physical, play making WR. We have outstanding team chemistry here. Ray Lewis has already been on record saying T.O. is a freaking great person that he would love to play with. Flacco is cool, if an AFC Championship game in Pittsburgh can't rattle the guy then T.O. has no chance! Not to mention Ozzie has already shown interest in the past for the guy.

Our leadership here is too strong for any of that nonsense. B4 the superbowl loss all was good in Philly. Great times. Everyone was in love. But after McNabb choked and the Eagles decided they weren't gonna pay T.O. things got hectic.

Can you imagine T.O.; Mason, Clayton, D.Williams, Marcus Smith, Draft Pick!!

We could then invest in a 1st round cornerback to sure up our secondary depth!

T.O. wasn't the reason for the demise of the Dallas Cowboys. You can thank Romo's pinky, Romo's ability to choke, Tank Johnson, Adam Jones, Brad Johnson, Wade Phillips, Jerry Jones, the Media, Marion Barber's injury, Wittens rumored comments, the disappointing season, the HBO Hard Knocks special, the high expectations, Jessica Simpson...

Do NOT blame T.O.! It's not fair. T.O. is not as bad as everyone makes him out to be. It's just easy to point the finger bcuz he's a big time player that unfortunately has always been on teams surrounded by controversy. This guy just wants to win. The media is the one who starts the drama. The Media is the one who starts the rumors.

T.O. + Ray = stable relationship. Ray is a mentor, a role model, and an unbelievable leader. 100's of players around the league go to Lewis for his advice and help. Ray Lewis is the PERFECT guy to keep the locker room focused (oh yeah don't forget about Harb). Do not think for one minute that just bcuz it's happened b4 that it will happen again. T.O. is at the end of his career and the lime light is fading. This is T.o.'s last chance. All he wants is a ring. All we want is a ring.

Harb is no Wade Phillips. Ozzie and Bisciotti are no Jerry Jones. Cam Cameron is not some young chump who can't handle an offense of men (Jason Garrett). Flacco is not a man who easily gets flustered (Tony Romo, boo hoo my pinky hurts). Baltimore is no Dallas.

T.O. will create double teams, opening up Heap across the middle, allowing Mason to have the 1-on-1's, and McGahee/McClain/Rice will have more space to work with bcuz T.O. will take the extra man out of the box. We'll get our vertical threat, our big physical wr redzone threat, excellent run blocking, excellent route running, and EXCELLENT play making ability!

T.O. is a perfect fit. We are the only team in the NFL that is built to handle the situation!!

i'm sure he'd take a pay cut 2 win a ring now in days....T.O. doesn't seem like the type to have wasted all his money so he could end up here.

but why would T.O. risk laying in b-more as opposed to the steelers? steelers organization is very similar to the ravens.
I'm surprised too, but

1) No, don't want him here
2) He's already past his prime, and will be like 35 when the season starts, so not exactly worried about him even if he does go to a division rival
If you think about it, this is no surprise! The Cowboy's gave up alot to ensure they were able to pick up Roy Williams from the Lion's. There could have only been one reason to do that and now we know why, T.O. was going to be released or traded.

Now T.O. is a free agent scorned by the Cowboy's, Hmmmmm. Was this smart or stupid? The Cowboy's may have to face Terrible Owens twice a year vs a divisional rival. Look at the N.Y. Giants, they can cut Burress and sign Terrible or maybe the Redskin's can find some money some where under or over the cap like they always do. This could turn out to be a bad move by the Cowboy's, I think they should have traded him.

Why? Bcuz if you haven't noticed...our WR's are pretty mediocre. He wanted to play for Philly since the pro bowl. San Fran dished him to an out of conference team and it just so happened to be us. I don't think T.O. turned us down bcuz we were Baltimore and didn't have a QB but bcuz McNabb was Philly and that's where he wanted to go all along. Regardless if that's true or not we have a quarterback now. Flacco down field to T.O. is a nightmare from hell. Our running game, our defense, our special team is already there. Our play making WR...not there.

Winning makes everything ok. If you think for one minute that the Ravens will lose more than win next year, WITH Owens...you're crazy. We'll be instant superbowl contenders...AGAIN.
