no. QBs turned reciever never work. see matt jones, brad smith, randle el. they never become good recievers.

Randle El was nothing but a half decent slot guy if anything. Hardly what I would call really good.

too bad that doesn't mean much. their have been too many WR prospects that don't pan out. *cough* Freddie Mitchell, David Terrell, Mike Williams, Peter Warrick, Troy Edwards, Koren Robinson, Charles Rogers, Ashley Lelie, R.J Soward *cough*

Pat White reminds me of Kordell Stewart. I can see a team using him in the same way we use Troy Smith. I don't expect him to go before the 4th round however.

With a wide reciever class so deep this year, why would we ever try and develop someone like Pat White? Troy Smith is just as athletic and runs our wildcat, so we don't need him for trick plays either. Most importantly, he said he would love to play for the steelers, so we definetely have to stay away now.

I am pretty sure Hines Ward played some QB in college.

you beat me to it neepo... but back to the point, i think he will be very valuable to a team like the dolphins (in the wildcat), but i dont think he's worth a 2nd round pick with the ravens

Who cares if a few have panned out, they're few and far between. The bottom line is that this is an unnecessary risk, and more than likely a waste of a draft pick.

A lot of guys are a waste of a draft pick but it doesnt stop them from being drafted. I am just not convinced that playing it safe in something as risky as the draft is the best way to go. 50% of the guys drafted in April probably wont be around in 5 years.

2nd round picks are generally where you draft guys that you are confident in starting from day one. Pat White is hardly someone you'd start from day one for the Ravens, especially as a project at WR.

A lot of people had the same issues with his teammate Steve Slaton last year (as far as his size), and I bet half you guys had him on your FFB team last year putting up quality numbers. I know that the Qb position is way different but I still think this guy his a NFL starting Qb and could light it up with the right coaching.

He's a Warren Moon type of guy to me. I think he goes in the 3rd round. I hope he goes to a team that needs a starter and is not looking for a back up.

 no thanks we have a run/qb already.

I like the guy to be honest, I think he could be a great qb as far as wildcat guys go. Although I don't wanna draft him because it would be a wasted pick, I think he could pan out somewhere like Houston or even a place like Jacksonville. Fast RB's for option type stuff and have relatively slow QB's which he could give the offense a new dimension. I think the worst he could be is Troy Smith 2.0 He seems to have a better arm, and better speed than troy, but who knows with guys like this?

Even though Tebow is an all time college QB, he may not be chosen till the middle of the second next season, just because people are afraid he may not be the prototypical QB. Until one of these slash-qb guys pans out, everyone is afraid to draft em high. Probably late 3rd early 4th rounder

Why in the world would we want 2 Troy Smiths? Like I said, some team will draft him and use him like Kordell Stewart was used or how we use Smith.

folks, white is a better QB than many of you are giving him credit for. he's fairly accurate and has a pretty solid arm. pat's a smart guy and knows how to read a defense. IMO, if pat played for a different school, he would have run much less and passed much more, thus, improving his game.

i honestly see pat as an early 3rd round pick for a team that already has a dependable QB, but might be getting a bit long in the tooth.

i used to have a lesser opinion of Pat, but he changed my mind at the senior bowl. he played well enough for me to go back and look at the tape. i liked what i saw.
