He's the guy who will step on Ward's face multiple times next season.
I'm really not bothered by how much he makes , we got a young who can still improve starter from a playoff team while not giving up anything for him(just cap space ;))
Trust me, I've watched Dominique Foxworth play, and he's worth every penny.

I've said it over and over and over again in multiple threads, and I'll reiterate here, he played well as a rookie in Denver under the tutelage of Champ Bailey (and alongside the late Darrent Williams), and he played admirably in his only season as a Falcon after being traded by the Broncos after their acquisition of Dre Bly last year.

Foxworth is worth it.
If Ozzie did and Franchise agreed with it  . Then its a good move. Period end of discussion next topic.

Tutelage.

That's a word I'm going to have reintroduce back into my vocabulary. Been awhile since I've heard that 1. Thanks for reminding me Franchise.
panic move
It was DEFINITELY a panic move.
I'd panic too knowing that someone else could have snatched him up before we got the chance to.

Great move by Ozzie. I did not see this coming but my bro is a bronco fan and he liked foxworth and I liked him now he's a raven but are we going to draft a CB in round one? Micheal Lombardy said the the WR draft is 4-5 rounds deep. So I would love if we draft like a vontea Davis. He stepped in for the Falcons learning the Defensive playbook on the way so I think that was great by him...not great but admirable.

It may be a deep receiver draft but the Ravens need a top receiver that can take attention away from Mason and Clayton.

To me, Foxworth's signing means that Rolle is now expendable(sadly). Corey Ivy is already gone so that means that the Ravens will probably have to get a corner in the second or third round. Hopefully, that corner is called Coye Francies.

And for all those who don't know, corners are paid the most money in the league by position. Look at the contract Asomugha got in Oakland and Hall got in Washington. I know both team have always overpaid for their players but corners make big-time money. Foxworth definitely wanted to come to Baltimore, but I'm sure his agent tried to get the most he could out of the deal. The Ravens would not have paid for him if they were not confident in his abilities. He is proven and is worth the money.

YEAH! Seriously, people who are calling this a bad move don't know what they are talking about. Someone was talking about how Ozzie has taken what was once an aging and declining secondary and turned into possibly a strength.
Thats a ton of money though. This deal is $28 million over 4 years. Do the math...thats $7 million per season! This guy is a career backup and just last year was traded for a 7th round pick. No wonder Jason Brown is frustrated with the Ravens for never spending money on offense when we throw money around like this.

Now don't get me wrong, I have confidence in Ozzie that Foxworth is a solid player. It worked out well with Washington last year. But still, to let Brown, Scott, and probably Ray go and then turn around and sign an outsider to this sort of contract is a bit confusing.

Guess all I can say is...In Ozzie I trust
Career backup? Kidding me? He has played four years and started most of them!

Let's wait and see what he can do in a Ravens uni, playing in a Ravens defense. Fabian was a backup when he came from the raiders, because he got beat out of his spot, and look how well he is playing now. I think coming here is a good move for a defensive player, because the coaches here know how to utilize your strengths and weaknesses.

I think some may be downplaying DFox's skills because of the money we were seemingly able to throw at him, but not at what some saw as our greatest priority (Brown). I can't quite disagree with that sentiment.
Ok hes average, smaller than ideal and is no shutdown corner...so...

WHY THE HELL ARE WE PAYING HIM 7MILLION A YEAR?!?!
He's well above average; a great man to man cover guy with elite speed, 5'11" and could very well develop into a lockdown corner in our system. He has some serious potential, especially in a system like ours. And he has played very well the past two years. I'm happy we got him...I would have liked the price tag to have been a little lower myself, but it's a good pick up for us.
Did anyone mention that Fox turned down more money from Atlanta to come home?
Nice!

Now if only Ray Ray would follow that example :P

I don't think we overpayed at all. D. Hall just got a deal for 6 yr/56 mil. We got a good corner at a fair price. Corners are a premium in this league and on this team. Our corners are out on an island for the most part cuz we don't play zone or cover 2. This was a good deal for a guy in his prime (26 yrs old). Great job ozzie.

Exactly. Corners were already getting paid handsomely but after Asomugha and Hall's contracts, they are going to get paid even more. I guarantee several teams will be battling to sign Bryant McFadden.
The Ravens identified Foxworth as a player they were intent on making a big push for early in free agency, and they were helped considerably by the fact that he's a University of Maryland product who played high school ball in Catonsville, Md., and whose grandmother lives just down the road from the Ravens' team complex. I'm told that both Miami and Atlanta were negotiating to stay in the hunt for Foxworth, but that the ex-Terp took less money for the chance to play in Baltimore.

"The guy really wanted to play here,'' said one Ravens source. "That's the great thing we had going for us.'' In the 2005 draft, Foxworth and fellow cornerback Fabian Washington posted two of the fastest 40 times at the scouting combine that year. Now both of them are Ravens, and along with Samari Rolle and Frank Walker, comprise Baltimore's contingent of cornerbacks.
Not every player just follows the money. ^_^
I just wish Brown or Scott would've done the same thing.

Foxworth seems like a really good guy. He doesn't come off as the brash person a lot of other corners seem to be. I'm sure he will be the team for years to come.

Foxworth is a very promising young CB. The fact that he played and is from the area is even better. He has already showed true loyalty in the fact that he has always wanted to play here and the fact he took less to do it takes a lot of maturity. I feel like this guy will turn out to be a great player in Bmore and he will get his pay day come extension time.

I was looking on a falcons forum, and there is hardly a bad word spoken about him. Most of the people there are sad to see him go.
