Baltimore continues to be one of the busiest teams on the first day of free agency. The Ravens signed cornerback Domonique Foxworth to a four-year, $28 million deal that includes $16.5 million guaranteed.

Anyone think we might switch to a 4-3?

Haven't seen him play really. Backup for the Broncos, starter for the Falcons. I just hope he's a better tackler than Fabian.

Can't really determine on stats though.

Hope we sign Vilma, that way we have some experience in the middle and we can make a push for Gooden/ Barnes / maybe McClain. Since we signed Foxworth, we dont need a 1st round corner and maybe Heyward-Bey falls to us at 26; then a corner in the second round.

The writing is on the wall.

#1 Foxworth
#2 Washington / Draft pick
#3 Walker / Draft pick
#4 Martin / Draft pick

It's hard to believe because of the little speculation. It seems like someone just pulled it out of their ******. Good sign. 7 mil? Goodbye Samari?

I don't think he will be a backup. 4 yr 28 mil isn't really backup money. If they are paying him that, I'd have to believe that they want him to come in and start.

Backup? With the money we're throwing at him he's already guaranteed the #1 job at corner. Right now Fabian & Samari are competing for the #2 and Samari will probably released pretty soon. You add another draft pick in the 1st or 2nd round (somebody who can tackle) and we're pretty much set in our backfield.

Don't worry about stats; it's misleading when evaluating CB's.

Foxworth is a very solid player; I would compare him somewhat to Dunta Robinson of the Texans. Very good man to man; good tackler, fast.

Kyle Boller got starter's money and we all know he's an NFL back-up at best. His stats don't look too impressive. All we can do is hope for the best!

It is not what you hear, most of the time it is what you do not hear that turns out to be big news. With Washington, Foxworth and drafting a CB we may start to look really good in the secondary come April! :D
