"Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the deal includes $41 million guaranteed in the first three years, and the maximum value of the deal could be $115 million. According to Schefter, the deal is the richest contract ever given to a player and includes more guaranteed money than any contract in NFL history has ever included."

Haha Titans.
LOL! And they probably won't make the playoffs. They've been doing this for years and it's never worked out.
it's unbeliveable that they can afford it? do they have unlimted cap space?

no, they just work the numbers. but they always handcuff themselves with a couple of players and each time, its never for a position that makes the team any better. Their offense will still struggle next year because their QB isn't very good and they have a RB who gets hurt a lot with no viable backup.

Jason Campbell needs to step it up this year.

And WR?

Not only is this deal ridiculous because of its sheer size, but it will cause a huge rift on the team. A DT who has a history of being lazy is now making as much as some of the top QB's in the league. If Albert doesn't dominate at least as well as he did last season (which he will not by the way) this team will self destruct like they always do.

How does Washington have the cap room not only to sign Haynesworth, but to sign DeAngelo Hall?
Am I missing something here? I understand they will be in cap hell in a couple years, but how do they pull this off?

They better pray Jason Campbell sucks. If he puts up all star #'s they can't afford him. Washington has sealed their fate. Good luck trying to build a productive team.

Ridiculous!!
Is a dirty DT really worth two or three times more that a LB like Ray Lewis ??

Go redskins, throw your money away! They still have other holes to fill.

He's good but I can't see anybody worth that much, it just seems crazy. Does anyone else think he might need the titans whole d-line to be great, im skeptical about this

On NFL network they said the Redskins had one of the lowest amounts of cap room. Even only 1/7th of the signing bonus counting against their cap shouldve put them over. Then they sign Hall as well, I don't understand how it works. And we can't resign our guys with a decent amount of cap room, its BS

Look for the Redskins to began making cuts before the draft or right after. Randel el, Jason Taylor, Shawn Springs, Ladell Betts, and a few others are out.

Seems to me like they're taking a page out of the Washington Wizard's book. Sign Arenas for $100 million and their season is down the drain. Can't say I'm too disappointed. Never liked the deadskins.
