Mock Draft Muncher

7 posts in this topic

thought everyone might like this. scout.com has a program that scans some of the top mock draft sites out there on the internet and compiles averages and trends of who might go where. does it mean anything? nope. is it a neat tool to look at when creating your own mock? absolutely.

really really likin what this site showed me as far as our first overall pick is concerned, i was looking at the Charts/Graphs that the site had for the Baltimore Ravens and (from what i noticed) the number one prospect that i saw on the board was that of Marylands standout Wideout "Darius Heyward-Bey" followed by ALphonso Smith, Hakeem Nicks and so on and so forth (in no particular order) except Darius as the number one pick of the Ravens taken off the board but keep in mind, that we also have other needs not just at the WR position, so we could go either way with this. But just thinking about it, gives me goosebumps, a Local prospect/product who ran the second fastest 40 time since the year 2000 at the combine, and having us possibly picking him up when our name(s) is called on draft day to pick.... is just wow. lol and i think that if we do that then it would work out for both sides, Darius doesnt have to go all that far, and play for a team whom he very well might have grown up watching on TV dreaming " i want to be on that team, that will be me one day" and the Ravens get a true playmaker whom can make plays left and right and certainly has the speed to do it all......... its just some food for thought to think about for you guys but like i said there are other positions of need and as we've seen on draft day over the years, teams can and will do some crazy things. Guys/draft prospects out there right now such as Nicks, Alphonso.... right now its all just talk and guess work, and people sayin this and that. the only way we'll know for certain, is on draft when our name is called and we officially make our first pick.
