4.8's not the end of the world for a 260 pound tight end. Especially one who's attraction is is well-roundedness.

I can't see him slipping past the Falcons.

Good point and the forty isn't important when he is known for being a well rounded TE, which has put him above the rest.

that's not terrible for a bulky TE. besides, those are "unofficial" times. the official time will be slightly different, but could even be slower. and i agree, he won't fall past atlanta. in fact, if he falls past buffalo, i could see atlanta moving to get him

I hope we dont draft this guy in the 1st round. He comes from a spread offense in college and I think it will take him some time to learn a pro style offense. I agree he is the prob. the most well rounded TE in the draft, but I think we have other pressing needs besides a TE in the 1st round.

Shouldn't matter to a TE, unless he was split out in the slot a lot, which I am 90% sure he wasn't. He is the best TE and a lot of people have him ranked as one of the top 10 overall players in the draft. I think we should at least consider taking him if we have the shot, but only if no one else in a need position is available.

I agree. Even if he does fall I just don't see how Ozzie could justify that when it is practically guarenteed that there will be either a quality WR or DB left on the board when we pick that will also fill a pressing need. I'm as perplexed by Todd Heap as anyone but he's still Todd freakin Heap. We will also get Quinn Sypniewski back who is a much better blocker than Todd and therefore frees Todd to do what he does best.

The tight end I like a lot is James Casey who would be a great value pick in the 4th round in my opinion. Not sure he will be there but I sure hope he is.
