23 posts in this topic

you heard me right

according to Adam Schefter, the Colts are expected to cut ties with their long-time reciever Marvin Harrison, one of Peyton Manning's favorite go-to guys out on the football field, the move saves the team 7 million in CAP space. Now this has to turn some heads this upcoming season, seeing the Colts and Manning without Harrison.

WOW! Never saw that one coming. Doesn't Peyton want to restructure his contract to keep the guy????

He doesn't want any part of this division. I'll bet you a million he goes to Philly. Maybe Seattle.

Don't count out the Colts as a possible return situation, should Marvin agree to a less money/ more incentive-laden deal

Sucks to have a great WR career end Kinda feel bad though...He was always a good show to watch

Marvin Harrison is 37 years old and he's been injury plagued lately. I figured the Colts would cut him they've got a starting DB and C going up for FA and not enough money to keep them. Harrison WILL retire. Book it.

Harrison is going on 37, so this is probably a pretty ripe time for him to hang up the cleats. It's always uncomfortable seeing a great player end his career in some foreign uniform.

Marvin will go down as one of the greats to play WR. Hes one of the few elite receivers that has never acted like a diva when it came to anything. Him and Housh in philly with DeSean Jackson could cripple any team in that division

so with him gone in Indy or Ray gone from us possibly, who do you think would be more missed by their fans, being that they came into the league the same year.

To me, the Ravens already have their Marvin Harrison in Derrick Mason. Both of them are great player but there are relying on their savvy and hands at this point in their careers. The Colts aren't cutting him for nothing.

I Agree we have our harrison and we wouldnt have the money to bring him here there is a reason the colts are getting rid of him and thats one of them

And what with all these old players asking for way to much money? I.E Ray ray
i love him but i mean he has 2 maybe 3 more good years left and he wants to be paid like he is 27 years old.

I read a really sketchy article on Marvin Harrison in ESPN The Mag a while ago. He really seems like a weirdo off the field and very cold towards his teammates. I wouldn't want his character issues on our team.

Seconded. I hated watching him shake C-Mac like a maracca every time we played them.

no, the colts being the colts will draft a WR (probably DHB[i don't see the good in him personally]) and turn the WR they draft into a beast.... its what they do or seems like it anyway

Colts WR
is like our LB
