Not directly copied I reworded things around just so you mods understand this. BTW I didn't know if this belonged in Other Teams section. But I am mainly talking about the Ravens here so I figured it could go in General Discussion.

But I assume we are #2 because of only allowing 7 points, and scoring 34, and losing no SB matches since. Well we couldn't being only to 1 SB so far anyways.

But actually they should put 2SB wins our Baltimore Colts WON 1 as well for our City so shouldn't we technically have 2 SB wins?.

I think they should take the Ravens at the top under #2 and have it where it is now.

But looking like this Baltimore Ravens/Baltimore Colts W2 L1. Thats just how I feel about that. I mean it says Baltimore Colts not Indianapolis Colts. Anyways who has the damn SB Trophy anyways? should be in Baltimore or did they take it from "OUR" CITY?! to Indiana?! it was won with Baltimore's team so it should be set under our new FOOTBALL TEAM. And put next to our other SB trophy the Ravens WON if its not that is complete BS and petitions need to be started.. It doesn't belong outside the city of Baltimore that in my opinion if it is, is STEALING. When Art Model moved the Browns here we did not take any of what they conquered in the NFL, AFC Champ Division titles or anything, not name colors NOTHING. I think it would only be fair to have our Baltimore Colts TROPHY next to our Ravens TROPHY. Or it should be destroyed or have been buried with Irsay. ANYWAYS I think that is awesome we are #2. ;)

WOW I JUST NOTICED THIS!. INDI COLTS arn't on there yet wonder if it will be like this for the Colts... Better not be!!.

St. Louis / L.A. Rams 1 2 .333 59 67

I could see it saying Indianapolis Colts / Baltimore Colts 2 1

That will piss me off. L.A Rams had nothing to really **** at though they never won a SB like our Colts did so I am curious how they are going to do this.

I guarantee it will be like this which is sad....

Indianapolis Colts / Baltimore Colts 2 1 rather then be Baltimore Ravens / Baltimore Colts 2 1

Sorry I just simply cannot get over the Baltimore Colts and what they achieved and having it taken from out CITY.. I wasn't even born when they won the SB. But it just upsets me to have something stolen from us. If I was to go steal something I would go to jail but it's ok for them to do so?.

very interesting read there my friend....glad you posted it, looks like we're getting some recognition and all now haha...but honestly i like us being one of the few teams that fly "under the radar" and dont get ALOT of media attention....that just leads to distractions and so on and so forth...this read clearly states that The Ravens have some unfinished business to attend to and will do anything to get themselves there again, WOOT the colts arent even on there haha thats because the Ravens will have that Playoff loss in mind and you can bet anything (at least im willing to bet anything) that Ravens are hungry....im mean down right hungry and "blood thirsty" to knock the Colts down a few pegs like they should!!!!

I am happy with some of the love the Ravens are getting. I just hope that they live up to it. I remember back in 05 when we were picked to do well and look at what happened. I am praying that we start out the gates fast and finish strong.

Yeah that is what got us to where we were at last year in the end of regular season winning the first 4 games straight. and Game 1 with a shutout. But the only problem about this year is MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL for us Game 1 and in Cinci.... I can't remember the last time we actually won a Monday night football game and beat Cinci in Cinci. eeep I hope this monkey on our backs for Monday night games hops off it before the game and jumps on New Englands or something.

just read the Baltimore Sun (the web site) about the Ravens, They are totally Focused now, they're practicing VERY hard and are willing to do anything to win....just read about the Practices and stuff...you'll see, everyone seems to be Deadily Focused on winning games and our offense and defense BOTH looked Crisp and ready to go, what i mean by this is that, the Ravens are Deadily on both sidse of the ball now...just read

Whether or not Baltimore is ready on both sides of the ball or favorites or whatever else that can be thrown out there, still gonna be awful tough to replicate last year's success. Not saying they can't have a great year (also because I do believe they'll win the AFC North, which IMO, the TOUGHEST division in football), just hard to duplicate that great success in the AFC, hard conference all around.

But with that being said looking forward to a overall good season I hope.

The Ravens are starting to get respect simply because we are getting older as a franchise and year in/year out we have a competive team. Yeah we had a few losing seasons but since 2000 there has only been about 3 franchises that has been better(on field) and none better then our Front office. The three teams i see being better then the Ravens since 2000 has been Philly(3 NFC title games in a row), Indy(powerhouse even though they could never win) and NE(3 SB's in 4 years). A lot of people wonder why other teams seem to get more respect then us nationally, well it's mainly because fans from other markets relate to those teams better. Teams like Pitt,NE,Dal,Cle,Minn, ect that has been around for like 60,70 years are easily recognizible by fans of any generation. Most NFL fans are over the age of 30, and the fans that are younger most likely grew up watching football with their dads, so they already seem to have a since of pride for their respective team. Even when the move out of market they still hold onto their favorite team, other fans nationally recognize these teams and players because they have something from the past to relate to. Those teams have history and have build a foundation. The Ravens are just starting to build that foundation. We are about 12 years old as a franchise and has had more success then any other team under 20 years old(Jax,Hou,Car,and even the new Browns.)

Now when i say these teams have built a foundation and the fans have something to relate to when watching the stars of today, this is what i mean. Look at a team like Pitt. With Big Ben older fans sit back and say......man he is the best qb we've had since terry B. Or they can say that tackle Big Ben made to send us to the SB was most important play of this franchise since franco Harris' catch. They can stake their claim to fame by counting the amount of HOF's they have. Well on the flip side of that, the first 2 guys the Ravens ever drafter are HOF's but both those guys are still playing. The Ravens never really seem to get credit for being one of the best defesive teams in history, reason being because the teams that they are compared with did it for decades. Now the Ravens are starting to built that foundation, when the next generation of stars come in they will be compared to the likes of a Ray Lewis, JO, Ed Reed, CMac, Heap and even Jamal Lewis. Kick Returners will always be compared to Jlew. We do a hellva job of drafting so this team will be good and in contention for years and years to come. When we lost the Colts we lost our city's football foundation. No matter how much we hang on to it, and how much the old Baltimore Colts players stick with it, we will never get those days or records back. People look at Peyton Manning and think of Johnny U, and to most people in Baltimore it's sickening. So as a city we can/will never forget the memories that the Colts gave us, but the bottomline line is Baltimore is now Ravens country and we have to continue to build on this solid foundation that has been started. We lost a lot of fans doing that 12 year absences of football, and now we are starting to get them back. People around the league are starting to take notice. Even though most think we are bad boys thats ok cuz that will forever be our idenity, and the players seem to accept that. !0-20 years from now people will look back and really start to apperciate our dominate defensive units that we have had since about 1997.

So i say to all Ravens fans. Just continue to make Baltimore one of the toughest cities for visiting teams to come in and play. Just continue to show that Ravens Pride. Just continue to be die hard fans. Continue to show up at opponets stadiums giving the Ravens support. Nothing makes me more happier to be a Ravens fan then seeing Heap make a catch in someone else's staduim and u here the crowd threw the TV set saying HEEEAAAAPPPP. Baltimore Ravens fans just keep doing what we are doing, the team and orginization continues to do what they do. People will start to show us the respect that we deserve and most people in Baltimore crave. They might not like us but they damn sure will RESPECT us.

lol just a slight correction on the "few Losing Seasons" we've had..... the Ravens Have only had 1 losing season since Billick took over as Heacd Coach (6-10) and Billick is (i think, im not sure on this...i saw it on ESPN or NFL.com sometime ago) he has a coaching record of 54-2 when leading a game by at least 14 points for more....i think thats pretty dang good dont you think? (***chuckles***)...Baltimore is One of the HARDEST stadiums for Opposing Teams to play in (we raven Fans take GREAT pride in that proven fact) the Fans are so LOUD and so Supportive of the Ravens, Opposing teams have a extremely hard time trying to hear and execute well

hehe Be Proud Raven Fans....Be Proud of where you are and where you came from.........B-More Ravens ALL THE WAY!

ok 2, my mistake BUT think about it Billick took over in '98 and we've only had 2 losing seasons thats DANG GOOD!........... AND Billick is one of the Head coaches that are either tied or ahead of the other HC's in Longetivity pretty dang good i must say........ i am Close to if not dead on the Coaching record of Billick when we're up by 14 points or more, so basically this has been said and proven time and time again that if we're generally leading in a game by 14 points for more, we'll most likely win the game

Yes u are pretty close i'm not sure of the exact record but i am sure that we have only lost one time after being up by 14 points and that was Cincy back in 2004( i think) their big 4th quarter comback that seemed to start a tailspin for us that lasted into the next season 6-10

i wasnt so sure on the exact number , i heard on NFL network or ESPN or somewhere, but couldnt tell you the EXACT number it is, what i can say is that Billick is around the Mid 50's in wins (like 53-55 wins) and only 2 losses when leading a game by 14 points or more, if anyone could find that info for me, that'd be great, ive been looking for it but havent found it yet lol ggrrrrrr

Well Billick took over in the 1999 season and went 8-8, not a winning season or losing season.

2006 Brian Billick 13-3 (playoffs 0-1)

2005 Brian Billick 6 - 10

2004 Brian Billick 9 - 7

2003 Brian Billick 10 - 6 (playoffs 0-1)

2002 Brian Billick 7 - 9

2001 Brian Billick 10 - 6 (playoffs 1-1)

2000 Brian Billick 12 - 4 (playoffs 4-0)

1999 Brian Billick 8 - 8

1998 Ted Marchibroda 6 - 10

1997 Ted Marchibroda 6 - 9

1996 Ted Marchibroda 4 - 12

The reason the Ravens are listed 2nd in that "list" is cuz its alphabetical! Its only a list of teams that have played in a superbowl. it must be an old list if the colts arent listed since they won it last year) The ravens are 1-0 along with those other teams at 1-0 and sre listed alphabetical by city name.
