Best And Worst Fans In The Nfl

69 posts in this topic
Is this possibly due to the fact of the absence of football in Baltimore between the Colts and Ravens, and some fans just wanted to connect to another team? Then for some, they stayed with the Steelers because who was the new team...an old division rival Browns renamed the Ravens.
And the fact that Pittsburgh is really close.
Worst Fanbase (attitude):

1. Eagles
2. Steelers
3. Cowboys
4. Giants
5. Raiders
Worst attitude:
1.EAGLES
2.STEELERS
3.PATRIOTS
4.GIANTS
5.STEELERS (yes, again)

Also Ravens fans are not that loyal, I have seen many fans turn on players over small things that happen. Such as Ray Lewis, many fans (even on this site) want use to get rid of Ray after him wanting more money... dont you think Ray deserves it... he is one of the best players to ever play the game and most likely one of the best attitudes and passions towards the game... he has a family to take care of and ALOT of kids to pay for.

Also you say the Patriots are not loyal?

That's right I do think alot of Patriots fans are disloyal. IMHO they're a team with an incredible number of bandwagoners; which is why I get the feeling many Pats "fans" were wearing black and yellow this year...

As for the Ravens: personally I want Ray Lewis back, but an aging player who wants tons of money is not a "small thing." There's a salary cap to think about.

It is small, why do people want to jump off the Ray Lewis wagon... I mean for all the things he has done for this team... also the may be aging but he played great and I dont care if your 50 as long as you put up the numbers like he has.

Yeah "If you put up the numbers." And that is part of what worries people when it comes to older players. They are more prone to slow down, get injured etc, and then you've wasted money that could have been spent on younger players. Like I said, I want him back too, but I see where everyone else is coming from and still firmly believe that the Ravens are a loyal fanbase with a good attitude.

I don't find myself disloyal, I've loved the ravens since i started watching football, even though I live in Ohio. But I'm looking out for the team when I think if ray wants to break the bank he has to go. Ray won't be around forever, he has to go wither now, next year or 5 years. I don't think it makes sense for a team to lose 3-4 young players that are all in their 20's for a an aging 33 year old LB, with a history of injury. If there wasn't a cap I would love for us to retain them all, but there is and we need to think of the future not just the present.

This is a difficult thing to figure out.

Its hard to give constantly winning team's fans extra points for loyalty. Any team would have a lot of "loyal" fans if you are winning year in and out.

At the same time, warm weather fans have something else they could be doing during the winter. There is nothing else to do in Greenbay when the packers are playing (then add in a cause and effect feedback loop).

I live in Middle Tennessee now and I can honestly say that I have a lot of respect for Titans fans. When I was at the Div. Playoff game I saw first hand just how classy most of these people can be. After the game Titans fans were shaking our hands, bidding us a good game and safe trips back home. I never once feel threatened when walking down the streets, day or night, in Ravens regalia. Grade A folks down here in the Nashville area.

As much as I hate the Steellers and their always big mouth fans I do have to say I think next to us they are the best. Note I say after B-more fans, this does not include band wagon fans. Having finally able to get back and visit the motherland (Sykesville, MD) I run into lots of steeller fans. We always seems to get into some arguement about the pretend touchdown at the end of the second b-more pitt game in balitmore. Then we talk about Ray leaving and about the simualrities bewteen big ben and Joe. Always seem to end by saying hey at least we are not Redskins fans and we laugh for a minute. I think Pittsburg fan and Baltimlore fans are about the same blue coller true hard working folks who love their home teams baseball, hockey ect included. So as much as it pains me to say again I think they are good fans we are still better, and Ravens won that second game in baltimore!! :P
