Ravens Should Retire Jersey Numbers

40 posts in this topic

I think instead of retiring numbers, the Ravens just put them up in the Ring of Honor which should be enough, in my opinion.... IF we were to retire numbers, there would be a short list consisting of Ogden, Ray, Reed and Stover.

Wait, when someone enters the ring of honor, their number isn't retired?

Not saying retiring numbers is necessary... but It still makes me sick to my stomach to see Fabian Washington running around with Jamal Lewis's number on. Perhaps we let someone prove they are worthy before giving them a number that was worn by the Ravens legends of the past. You might not be a Jamal fan... but he was our best offensive weapon for about 6 years with not even the slightest help of a passing game. Fabian doesn't deserve to wear his number. And if nothing else, you gotta love Jamal for putting Joey Porter in his place... repeatedly.

Why don't we retire Oj Brigance's number while we are at this....So in this event Bart Scott would have to give his number up....LOL!!!!Unless Rex Ryan Already decided for him to play in a Jet uniform then it wouldn't matter....

In fact, where's the management? Have them write that down for when Stover retires. Heehee...[/quote]
3.14 is not a jesey number and never will be...

Oh, well then I don't mind the induction of players like Michael McCrary. Actually, yes I do.
