Who will be the Jets QB now? Ryan better not try to steal Mr. Flacco too

Can't say I'm shocked by this. I think It really is Farves time to leave, but if he was smart he'd try and play at least ONE more year under Ryan. Could it be that Farves "shoulder" injury needs surgery? He said that if he needed surgey he would retire. He doesn't want to put his body thru all that. Which is totally understandable. The guy is 66 years old..

KIDDING.

They brought this up on NFL network a while ago and it changed my perspective on Favre retiring;

When Favre took the Packers to the NFC championship game and lost he said he was done with the nfl but the fact that he actually took a team to the conference like that in his late years shows that he might have something to still give. That's why he came back to the Jets.

He's the kind of guy who wanted to make sure, absolutely sure that he'll leave the NFL giving everything he's got, meaning he wont leave with juice still left in his tank. After the dismal season in New York though I think he's pretty sure that he gave everything he had to the NFL before leaving and he just wanted to make sure of that.

For that I respect him.

And knowing how Mike Tannenbaum likes to go for the big-name splash, he'll probably try to draft a QB in the first round, regardless of whether they're worth the pick. So, best believe that the first-round QB will eat up a chunk of that 13 million in just his first season.
