With The 26th Of The 2009 Nfl Draft, The Baltimore Ravens Select....

most LTs are finese lineman.....and they'd fit in any scheme. it's not like he's a finese RG or RT.

Alex Mack?

Personally I think we need to switch to a more zone blocking scheme. Besides Jason Brown our interior line isnt very strong and our starting guards are more suited to pulling, LT Gaither is already mobile and this could help negate some of Terrys weaknesses. We could get real nasty with those cut blocks and let McClain and Rice loose on one cut.

If we can't resign Jason Brown then I could see us taking Alex Mack with the 26th pick. If we don't take him then I see the Steelers taking him at 32.

I was thinking this as well. I haven't heard any news with Brown yet, so IF and only IF he leaves. Mack would be great value at that pick, and is a clear cut day 1 starter in the NFL.

I like Brown.... a lot..... but other teams do too, so if he goes, then our draft changes. If we re-sign him... who knows. The combine will tell us a lot and so will pro days. Draft positions always change after the workouts.

I really like Hakeem Nicks alot. I think he is going to impress at the Combine and go into a top 15 Draft pick. Though I really would like to seem drop to # 26 but if not maybe we can find a team who is willing to trade # 1 picks(without giving up anymore picks) and we can move up to get him. I have seen so many videos on Nicks, I really believe he can be the difference maker that Santino Holmes is for the Steelers.

i don't think the Ravens will allow Brown to leave and i don't think that Brown wants to leave. I have heard Brown talk plenty of times about think ing that the oline started to build something special here in Baltimore and he enjoyed being one of the leaders of that oline. Now this doesn't mean it's not possible for him to go, i just don't get the feeling that the Ravens would risk losing him.

I also think that the Ravens will draft a C in the draft but one just for depth and not immedate help.
