back when it was the WWF, I was a huuuugee fan of the Undertaker. I used to think it was so cool that he could switch the lights by raising/lowering his arms and make wrestlers shyot their pants with a simple cold stare. On the ring he was slow, but that's because he is a giant (6'10 300lbs I think!) but he could still balance on the tightropes, and he had pretty good hops for a dude his size. He had the greatest finishing move, the tombstone piledriver and he would pin his opponent in a body-in-coffin positioning!

If we're going back to the WWF days, my favorite was (and will always be) The Rock. He was what got me interested in wrestling to begin with.

My current list of all-time favorites:
1) The Rock
2) Triple H
3) Kurt Angle
4) Randy Orton (he's gotten so good, so quickly, that I can't help but put him in my top 5 already)
5) Chris Benoit

I still keep Benoit in my top 5, even though what he did was horrible. I still remember him for all the great memories growing up, though.

Stone Cold Steve Austin gets honorable mention but doesn't make the top 5 because I became a wrestling fan after he was out with neck surgery in about 1999-2000-ish, so I didn't get to see much of him when he was active. Edge gets honorable mention too because he's developed so well into the top heel on SmackDown, if not the entire company; his mic skills are amazing, and he's carried The Undertaker through some great matches that I didn't know 'Taker still had left in him.

me and my buddies used to watch all the time and go to the shows, since i joined the marines i havent watched at all. We used to go to the shows all the time, it was like four hours away but it was damn fun. We were watching when Cena was the champ for awhile and HHH just came back, all that stuff. Cena was always fun to watch.....but if we go old school, wcw days, sting and scott hall all the way lol

I started watching wrestling when I was 4 years old, and I loved Hulk Hoagan (I went as him for Halloween one year). I stopped watching several years ago, and at that time, I was a big fan of the Undertaker. I though it was so cool that he would put his opponents in a body bag and take them away after the match. My brother loved Brett Hart, but I thought the pink was really gay.

i liked Mr Perfect. He would do that flip over you and snap your neck. He had the perfect plex. Which was well perfect! He was also a pretty good athlete. Theres a clip on youtube of him throwing an end zone to endzone touchdown.....to HIMSELF hahah it was edited of course but was awesome to my young eyes when i didnt know any better

Rey still wrestles. He's had knee problems, though, so they have to keep coming up with storylines to take him off TV so he can have his surgery. He's relatively young, but he'll probably end up retiring soon since he's been wrestling for so long.
Jeff Hardy all day.
Jeff Hardy's great, but he needs to work on his mic skills...his acting is horrible.

The best part was, Mr. Perfect could actually do some of the stuff he did in those video packages. He could actually play a perfect game of darts, and he's made a basket from mid-court more than a few times. As for actually making the basket with his back turned to the net, well, that's a different story...lol.

...to be honest, as much of a contribution he made to the industry, he was a crappy wrestler. He had a lot of charisma and was great on the microphone for his time, but his in-ring skills were horrible.

The Great Khali is probably more skilled in the ring than Hogan. And that's pretty bad.

Have you ever really sat down to watch a match of his. I mean, REALLY watch a match of his.

Hogan's famous routine towards the end of almost every match: Gets beat down with a series of punches. Hulks up like he's suddenly invincible then points to the guy. Blocks the guy's next punch and delivers three of his own. Whips him off the rope and gives him the boot to the face. Runs off the rope and gives him the leg drop. 1, 2, 3, the match is over, Hogan wins.

And leading up to that routine, Hogan only does these moves: scoop slam, clothesline, atomic drop, back body drop, chop to the chest, boot to the face, and leg drop.

YouTube almost any match of his, and check it out. I dare you. lol.

You all must be really young! I loved Rowdy Roddy Piper and Hillbilly Jim. Now that is old school right there folks. Can't have those names anymore thanks to stupid political correctness. I miss the Iron Sheikh, Junkyard Dog and of course Superfly!

Before most of your times!

The Iron Sheik was hilarious...lol. And Superfly was pretty good back in his day. A guy I wish I had seen wrestle in his prime was Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, though. I never got to see the match in its entirety, but a lot of people have said that Steamboat vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage at WrestleMania for the Intercontinental Title was one of the best matches in WrestleMania history, if not of all time.

Has anyone noticed that the Hulkster never jumped off the top rope in his whole career.

I noticed. Only because I thought it was strange that Stone Cold, The Rock, Triple H, hell even Brock Lesnar have all gone off the top rope before, even though they don't do it on a regular basis. Even the Undertaker does it regularly. But, Hulk Hogan has never done it.

Jesse Ventura, Randy Savage, and other guys of his era did it all the time, and they had similar builds. I guess the Hulkster wasn't much of an athlete, like I suspected...

no he wasnt. he didnt have much of anything to offer wrestling. His charisma wasnt even that great. The WWF just picked him to be the poster boy because of his intense physicality. He used to get alot of his lines wrong and he used to Pee in his tights when he started off. Hogan wore blue tights in the begining of his career, but they would be a greenish yellow color at the end of his matches so he switched to yellow. True Story!

Funny local WWF side story. My dad did some work on Nikoli Volkoffs house when i was like 6 or 7. He lived in Glen Arm, MD right off of Harford road (for my local people). My dad took me over to meet him and he was huge (granted i was pretty small) and handed me a figurine of himself. I was young and didn't know any better and asked him if the Iron Sheik was there. He laughed and said no.
