How Can U Disconnect And Not Lose?

15 posts in this topic

Every im whooping up on someone they usually disconnect. Well the other day it happened the same as usual. I could tell it weas coming cuz the game slowed down a lot. But instead of the usual "the connection to your opponent has been lost, would you like to continue vs. the cpu?" message...It just says "the connection to your opponent has been lost" and my only option is to end the game, and I get no credit for it...

whats up with that?

I have no idea what else you can do. You don't take a loss if your opponent disconnects, though; the game just doesn't count against your W/L record. Now, if you disconnect, that's a different story...

But I feel you. That happens to me the few times I'm actually WINNING. Or, even worse, I'll make a comeback to win the game at the end, and then they'll disconnect with something like 30 seconds left. -_-

normally if my opponent disconnects, its asks if you want to continue vs the cpu and the game continues. If you beat the cpu you get a win, if you lose, then your opponent gets the win. This time it didnt give me the option to continue, it just ended the game. Ive disconnected twice cuz I was losing by over 30pts and didnt feel like finishing the game(lame, I know) and I lost the game. That doesnt seem fair to be able to disconnect and not lose the game...

I think it was actually a disconnection to EAservers (or your connection) ortherwise you would have the ability to continue the game... FYI if you're getting killed and dont feel like finishing..Man up and Conceded the game!

I tried conceding before, but the other dude was a **** and wouldn't let me concede and kept pouring it on. He was one of those cheap players who would roll out of the pocket on every pass play, then throw at the last second and get a big gain out of it. And I could tell it was a kid, since he tried to trash talk after the game.

I don't bthink you get a loss vs the cpu if the dude quits because td's the cpu score don't count. That's why sometimes ppl will quit at the beginning of the game. and u'll look at the person who didn't quit and see he won like 90-0 it's because they score everytime on offense and on defense let the offense score quick everytime by going in a field goal or punt block

hmm, when it asks you to continue versus the cpu it specifically says the outcome of the game will count against you. So you can still lose vs the cpu...Im not aware that the TDs dont count...

They don't count and you get a loss if you quit vs the cpu, and yioou have to be really bad to lose to the cpu.

is it maybe different on 360 and PS3? It says "all stats will track..."

I noticed yesterday that when it gives me the option to continue the game its after my opponent pauses the game, Im assuming to hit the exit button.
But when it doesnt let me continue vs the cpu it just cuts out in the middle of the game, as if the opponent had just turned their system off or disconnected from the internet...

seems like someone is just trying to be spiteful...if they are gonna quit and take the loss, not let me have the win

Same thing happened to me, but I was losing by 14 with 2 minutes left. So maybe not all of the disconnections are on purpose.

That happened to me as well. It was zero to zero and I was getting ready to score and it just said the connection was lost. I didn't get a win or a loss. It just acted as if it didn't happen.

Supposedly there's a glitch that if you go offsides 3 times then leave ur xbox on for 3 hours u don't get a loss, although u'd have to be a dumba$$ to do that, i'd rather play 4 more games then care that much about a loss..

When it doesnt give you the option to continue vs the computer, im pretty sure it means that you've lost connection.. I dont think its your opponent quitting.. Or maybe if they reset their router that happens? Its the worse..
