The Media Continues....

59 posts in this topic

So I was just watching PTI today, and they are talking about a Steelers repeat. Even though they said it'll be very hard, they, as usual, had to hate on the Ravens. They said there will be many good teams next year, the biggest probably being; the Giants, Steelers, Colts, Titans, Chargers, Cardinals, Eagles, and even went far enough to say the Falcons......... <_<

Yeah, I know, but I thought the media would have AT LEAST enough brains to put us in the EIGHT best teams coming into next year, considering we were in the final 4. If we had all of our players, we would've killed the Cards. They would be extinct.

Titans? Chargers? Overrated, Colts 1 and done as usual, clearly without Plax Eli Manning is horrible.

Psh, we ALL know what we're capable of next season.. Come on Chi.. you know better then to think ESPN will give us more then 2 seconds on a rundown... People only wanna hear about the "big time" teams.. Until we prove we can beat teams like the Steelers,Giants,Colts.. don't plan on hearing anything about us. I don't understand how they could possiably mention Atlanta though.. The Falcons played nobody and beat nobody of importance this season, I still can't get past the fact people are talking about them.

yea long time ago when we were 3-0 they asked trent dilfer who is a pretender and the real deal in division leaders it was us miami or jets titans and broncos outa all of em we were the only pretenders and look where we got. This also is another reason i dont like dilfer.

The Giants will keep Plaxico... They worry me though with that crazy running game. They could go far. I don't think the Titans will have as great of season as they did this year, Although I do see them in the Playoffs.. but not worried about them.. We could have blown them out had we been 100% healthy this season in the playoffs. Chargers... psh? Are you kidding me? They benefited from a weak division.. No big factor next year.

I really dont like Dilfer. He doesnt have a clue what he's talking about half the time. To think the only reason he's even got that job was because he road the coat tails of our defense to a Superbowl victory.

Yeah, it was Us, the Titans, Broncos, and Bills. We were at the time the only 4 unbeaten teams left. All of them were contenders except us. That prediction was spot on.

See people you shouldnt take anything that ESPN says seriously.

I mean seriously, I'd love to know why people think Atlanta will do big things.. Okay so they have a good Quarterback.. they don't have the greatest Defense. We'd blow them up if we got a big time WR.

It was who was a contender and who was a pretender. Again, at the time the Titans, Ravens, Bills, and Bronco's were the only unbeaten teams left. They predicted that the Titans, Bills and Bronco's would all be contenders for the Superbowl, ie make the playoffs and the Ravens was a pretender, ie they wouldnt make the playoffs. So, as you see they were actually dead wrong.

I've always wondered if we had no one on offense, but had Aso, Patrick Willis, Palo, and Peppers were on our team...... Come on, B)

yea it was funny when flacco was playing well its omg unflapable flacco but in week 15 he has a bad game and its like o hes the worst ever then we beat miami in the playoffs and again omg flacco flacco its so annoying. When matt ryan lost they dident talk about that too long though for some reason even though he played like crap

Why pay any attention to what anybody is saying this early? It will only give you heartburn. Predicting what will happen in a NFL season only a few days after the previous season ends is about as useful as predicting how much your family dog will enjoy living on the moon. If these sportswriters were so clairvoyant, they'd either be working on Wall Street or standing in a lottery line picking tomorrow's winning numbers.

A better game to play is to go back and look at what these idiots predicted about the 2008-2009 season. They were almost all universally wrong in every aspect. For a laugh try this one: http://www.nfltouchdown.com/nfl-predictions-2008-overview/

but they base things off of last season and expected changes to teams.

did we need do enough last season to be considered a team to beat? they think we were a fluke?
