Yea 3 is way too many the holmes has to be in there somewhere though that was an amazing throwing and catch. i'd put the tyree catch in there along with the rams defensive stop at like the one half mark vs the titans. for games in recent history.

I mean, there were some good plays in tonight's game, but they're jumping the gun a bit to include THREE. It's not like this one was really a classic, since it was a snoozefest throughout most of the affair until late in the 3rd quarter.

number 10 was fitz's td to put them up 23 20

number 3 was harrison's td

number 1 was holmes' td

number 2 was david tyree's catch

all the others were old games besides vinateri's field goal against the rams at like number 5 and the rams stop of the titans at like number 6 or ?

Holmes' catch was excellent, but was it REALLY that good? How many times does Mace or Marvin Harrison make a catch like that every year? A good play, but not even in the top 25 IMO.

As for Harrison's and Fitz' TD's, Harrison's definitely is top 5. And Fitz probably belongs in top 10 also.

idk maybe i'd put tyree over holmes but i guess there could be 3 from tonights games. I'm young so i don't know about all the games in the 60',70's,80's and early 90's but generally there aren't usually huge plays in superbowls. You have to put that scumbags Harrisons in there considering it's the longest play in NFL superbowl history

Yes it was really that good because it's in the superbowl with suppose to be the best 2 teams in football so spectacular plays aren't suppose to happen. Can half of the receivers in the nfl make that catch, yea prolly but the fact that it was in the superbowl makes it a consideration for top 10.

really though..... there have been 43 superbowls... thats 2580 minutes of football.. u cant tell me in 60 of that tonight we saw 3 of the 10 best plays ever in superbowl history... the oldest superbowls i remember was in dallas' heyday so im a newbie but if i studied it out i could find 15 better than tonight's (besides harrison's) w/o a doubt

Are you kidding? The Super Bowl historically has been nothing but highlight reel moments.

Not being a smartass, but how old are you? I don't think you've watched very many if that's what you think. I'm only 31, and I can tell you countless great plays that have been made since the late 80's til now that I've seen.

It's BECAUSE the teams are so great is the reason spectacular plays are always being made.

I'm only 18 as i mentioned in a post i don't know about the 60,70,80,90's so i'm just going off of the last 10 years or so personally those 3 might be the best for me in the past 10 years or so. Only others i've seen are the 2 phins victorys in the 70's and the 82 and 84 games in which i think the riggins codizzle was tslking about was on the dolphins and i;m sure i can find one montana and his team did while embarressing us in the superbowl.

Thanks, now I feel like an old man because I was watching Super Bowls before you were born....

But granted, I don't think the 2000's SBs (as a whole) have been as action packed as in years past, so I can see now why you think that.

I don't agree at all with two of them. This coming fro a labled "classless, stupid, moronic" Steelers fan LOL! Harrison's should be like 3 or 4 but that's it. Other two shouldn't be there at all

What you are seeing is fallout from the last 3 weeks. You personally are a pretty cool poster but the 100 that got banned before you and the insults launched are still fresh in the members head. It has been a rough couple of weeks. We have been called every name in the book by Steeler, Titan and one or 2 Dolphin fans. :P Its like dumping rubbing alcohol instead of peroxide on a knee scrape.

LOL Oh I understand totally. I can understand everything and believe me I know I'm going to hear about it and some of the posts I made tonight. Friendly banter is fun and cool. But if it stops there thats cool.

I'm a fan of Football and love what the Ravens are doing with their team. So glad that we are in the AFC north together cause I'm tired of hearing how the AFC East is the dominate division. It's not.

All i did dude was react to some of the garbage I've seen some sore people post. Most members on here are great. It's the small few that are just plain rude that make me mad.

I am friends with Art Ronney II's son and these are great people who DO run a classy club. Charity, tradition, and charactor is a big part of this team and why they have been competitive for almost 40 years.

I see a lot of that in the Ravens and Patriots and its great.

So yes,I take it as a personal insult when some things get said about certian things. I don't mean for it to sound personal back.

Holmes TD Reception the number one play in Super Bowl history? Youre kidding me right? There have been many great players and Hall Of Famers that have touched the field for the Superbowl and ESPN is going to tell me that Santonio Holmes toe tap was the greatest play ever? They dont know sports!

Eh, it's a "what have you done for me lately" kind of world. I suspect that a few years from now the newer plays will be put in perspective and maybe just one will remain in the top 10 lists.

still a network like ESPN, I know they dont know much but they cant put holmes performance higher than that of Elway, Montana, Rice, Favre, they are losing credibility with me each and every week.

sorry, but if you are talking about top 10 PLAYS, it is definitely Mannings evasion/Tyree's catch at number 1. It wasnt just the catch that was awesome but how manning even had a chance to throw the ball. Holmes' catch was nice, but not number one of all superbowls.
