Time To Take Them Down

I can remember watching Football 10 to 15 years ago and on Sunday and Monday nights, I never saw as many flags in 3 complete games as I do today. Call me crazy but I think the refs need to let the game go sometimes, but dont miss clearly visible calls. They should all be forced to attend school again to be refs!
i dont believe Tomlin raised the Lombardi trophy. He should have got on that Mic and called AZ back out there to settle it the right way. He knows the officials made themselves bigger than the game. Mike I know you wanted to do it man, but let it go, take your trophy and enjoy it.
I was being sarcastic....
Good morning! I am new and I am a Steeler fan and I was just reading all the comments in this thread and I can hopefully give some advice on the situation. First off, he Steeler fans should realize how big this rivalry is, so to come on here and just expect a congrats! Hey your team is so great! speach from a Raven fan doesn't make all that much sense to me. But if they frequent the board and are a contributing member, then that is another thing all together. Maybe I can shed some light on it for the Raven fans as to why I think you are getting these responses. I'm sure you know how big and important the Steelers are to their fans. It's not how the normal casual fan likes their football team (not to say that the Raven fans are not as passionate), but most of the Steeler fans have been though all the years of not winning anything, and then once they got their 4th, it was a LONG TIME coming for a championship.

So during those years after the 70s, no matter how well the Steelers did during a successful season (win the division, make it to the SB, make it to the AFC Championship game) Which were all great accomplishments, ya know just how you felt about your Ravens this year. Now imagine everyone telling you this. "So what! you go to the AFC Championship you still didn't win it, you keep living in the 70's with your Super Bowl wins" So a lot of what your seeing now is fans that can finally be proud and know they are one of the best teams in the past 5 years. That's where I think it all stems from if you were to ask me. Maybe they should be bigger than that, and that doesn't make it right, but we all know that "FANS WILL BE FANS and there isn't bad fans all over" Every team has them, so you can do one of two things in my opinion. 1)IGNORE, if you feed the geering, the taunting all you do is feed the fire. or 2) don't post such rediculous things like "the refs and the nfl were paid off" or "they didn't really win it" or "the League wants the Steelers to win". If your really believed that this is the WWF and it's fixed, why do you still watch it? Because you know you can win it, you have 2001 yes? Did they league WANT you to win it? See, sounds kinda absurd doesn't it? Well to me your calling for the trolls by posting this stuff. Be proud at what your team accomplished and don't throw out the food for the trolls to scoop up and run with. It will also make the moderators job a lot easier. I'm not saying I have all the answers, but this should be a fun Rivalry where there is much respect to the fans of both teams and there should be fun sportsmanship, not all this trolling and pointing fingers. What does that accomplish.

Personally I think the whole thread should be deleted and I think it would all go away and everyone can start talking about next year. I personally think we have a great Rivalry and there is nothing more fun than sitting down on a cold afternoon to watch the Ravens and Steelers knock the snot out of each other. I don't want to be a troll so I'll leave you with those words to think about and your team had an amazing run this year, no one saw that coming.

Peace!

I'm not going to say the superbowl was decided by the refs because it wasn't. Give or take it was the Cardinals defense vs Steeler offense in the last 3 minutes and the Steeler offense won that.

I'm so tired of all the ref discussion. I will say that this year overall was one of the worst years for officiating and should be brought up to Goodell this off season but there is no point to bickering about calls and if whether they cost a team the game. As a fan and even as a player you have to be extremely naive to go into a game and expect that the refs are going to get 100% of the calls spot on because they're not. As players you have to put yourself in a position where one call can't effect the whole game and it was the case last sunday, the Cards blew way to many plays to whine about the calls and no calls.

Seriously guys, this thread is tired. The refs didn't give the Steelers the game. If it was rigged, there is NO WAY they call the holding call in the endzone and give the Cardinals the safety and the ball and put them in perfect position to win the game. Arizona had plenty of opportunities to stop the Steelers. How about don't throw a 100 yard pick right before half time? Or don't let the Steelers drive 87 yards at the end of the game to win. Or don't let your QB get sacked with only 3 guys rushing at the end to force a fumble.

The Steelers are the Champs. The bigger they are, the harder they fall! Nothing like beating the champs twice next year!
