29 yard line what are you talking about?
it was like their own 45 but i still think that they would have had a good chance on a hail mary
if any one receiver in the entire league could catch that its fitzgerald
there was a 15 yard penalty at the end of the play.

I know. I am optimistic. It really depends on our FAs and partially the draft. But don't come out there and say we'll kick the Steeler's butts twice. Anything can happen. We can have 20 on IR again. No one really knows for sure.

I'm just being a realist. The only time a fan like me will be really optimistic, is after my team wins the SB, and no karma can bite my ******. :P

Let's not say that. I hope he just starts to REALLY suck like he does.

Sad to say, I'm pretty sure he never lost control of the ball. There were a lot of other calls that should have been made differently or made at all but weren't, but that wasn't one of them.

I was really pulling for the Cards, but they just didn't play very well for the first 45 minutes of the game. And it doesn't help that the refs decided to just make stuff up.

"Personal foul, wearing a red jersey, 500 yard penalty..."

Even my Steeler-fan friend started calling out most of those flags as bogus. Now you KNOW the refs were twisted, if even a fan who professes to "bleed black and gold" can see the bias. It's really too obvious that the officials are not as objective as they're supposed to be.

I do hope that the Steelers glory starts to fade a little. I'm getting a little tired of Steeler Nation not noticing its own attitude. The three fights that Steelers started on the field should have been a wake-up call, but they probably weren't. That said, I would never be so rude as to wish injury on anyone, even someone I dislike as much as ROFLsberger.

Though I do wish some shampoo on Polomalu...
you guys crack me up with this... Do you think Steelers fans ever prodict them to loose? Do you think they EVER think the Ravens can beat them?
I can answer this for you... NO, they dont. If you listen to their fans talk, they talk about their opponants as if they are beneath them. Last year when the Steelers had to go into NE to play the unbeaten Pats, I heard one of their fans say something along the lines of " The Pats are the most overrated team in NFL history. If the Ravens can come close to beating them we should destroy them."

yeah dood i dont like ben as a player, but hes a good person and he supports us troops over here doing something that means alot more than football, so dont wish injury on the man because he made a great throw. I do believe the refs had alot to do with the victory

u cant be a realist over things based on perspectives and opinions.... u have to use facts to base ur realism hence the name "realist".... we very easily could have beaten the steelers two weeks ago. thats optimistic . ur realism would have said they beat us twice no chance in beating them

I agree, that's why I feel we are entitled to show pride for our team. No way am I an unrealistic fan, I will never say in 221 days before next season "We're taking it all" However,I see no problem with being optimistic in saying We'll beat Pitt. Will it happen who knows, could it happen? Sure, why not? I know I didn't think the Steelers would be us twice and had no idea we'd be on a position to loose 3 times.

Yeah, thats pretty classless man. I just hope the karma that is sure to come from your statements dont bite the Ravens in the butt.

I agree. There were a lot of questionable calls in that game but that wasnt one of them. The only question I had about that play was did he keep control of the ball all the way to the ground. NBC never showed a replay of it, so I dont know. Other then that it was a legit play.

The refs should just show the media the big check they got for this game....This game was just despicable i mean the steelers average a little more then a call a quarter and they just flat out murdered the Cards on the calling....

At one point there was a stat in the 4th quarter that came up on the screen Penalties: Steelers 3/30 Cardinals 9/96

Amazing. Although to be fair the holding in the endzone was suspect and I thought th eCardinals caught a break. I walked away from the TV pissed when Holmes caught the ball and then I heard Al michaels "wait a minute" and I nearly pissed myself laughing when I heard the word safety and saw the penalty marker on the bottom of the screen.

But yeah late in the drive there was some definitely some iffy penalties against the Cardinals that may have had a bigger impact on the final outcome then they actually should have.

You know what made me look at my brother's gf and laugh tonight (she's a steelers chick)...
When that stat line came up showing Arizona averaged 43ish penalty yards per game before tonight, and nearly 100 tonight.

She didn't even try to dispute the conspiracy theory after that.

I really love how the refs could enjoy that huge chunk of income from the steeler payroll....

"wearing a red shirt 500 yard penalty".

When you get out played one on one sometimes the only thing you can do is hold a guy, or get frustraited and do something dumb. Teh refs didn't loose this game for Arizona. They had their chance. all they had to do is stop an 87 yard drive.

Of course Arizona had a chance to win. Unfortunately for them, it was taken away from them by a dubious fumble call that wasn't even reviewed.

Even better, hold on to the ball and take the sack, or get rid of it earlier

I ask you all this.

1. What does the NFL gain from having the Steelers win this game when all of America wanted the Cards to win?

2. What do the refs have to gain from making bogus calls for Pittsburgh? Money? no don't even try that.

3. Why is it that when Pittsburgh wins a game of importance that they had it handed to them? They ever win a game that they actually, oh wow I can't believe I said this, Played well, made plays when they had to and pulled it out????
