Niners Find Their Offensive Coordinator
After weeks of looking, the San Francisco 49ers finally found their man. They hired Jimmy Raye as their offensive coordinator, league sources said Wednesday night.
So, the only other job that poses an immediate threat to Hue Jackson being lured away from Baltimore, is the offensive coordinator position for the Bengals. Marvin Lewis wants his old receivers coach back to turn the offense around, and the players love him.

Let's cross our fingers and hope that we can somehow keep Jackson for one more season...

Hue Jackson probably IS more vital, from a long-term standpoint.

The development of Joe Flacco is in the hands of Hue Jackson, and his progress from this season through next season (and beyond) will have a definite domino effect on the team, both on the field and off it.

Jackson/Cam seemed to have had a positive impact on Joe not because he performed well when all was said and done, but because Flacco improved in week to week in nearly every single game.

I'm really glad Hue hasn't left us YET, give Joe another year with him ATLEAST. Joe needs stability from his coaches right now. A lot of players mature the most between first and second seasons!

When was the last time anyone wanted to raid our offensive coaching staff. My how far we have come.

I am glad to have some continuity on offense for a change. That will pay dividens for us in 2009. Besides, another strong year by our offense and Flacco, and Hue could get a HC job.

That's a bit of a stretch.

"Raiding" our staff would entail several other teams picking off numerous coaches. As it stands right now, we're probably not going to lose a single member...

Hue Jackson has proven to be a good position coach, and absolutely nothing more.

Our offense was not good, they showed a nice ceiling, but they were not what I would consider "good."

Good to know. I think one of the mistakes we made with Boller, among other things, was not keeping the same staff around him while he was still young. With Boller it probably wouldnt have mattered but it certainly didnt help.

I think he will stick around with Joe. Think of all the attention Hue will get when Joe becomes an elite QB, which I believe will happen sooner rather than later
