Rosburg?

...

Normally I would absolutely slam this move, but Harbaugh was a ST coach and is now experiencing success. Anyways, when in doubt, believe in Ozzie.

I thought I heard you say somewhere earlier that the management was going to go a different route, yet stay in house!!!!!
I agree. I had no idea about his age or number of years coaching, though. But that aside, the NFL is an entirely different beast, and from what I remember reading about him, most of his career has been spent in college football. Even though he's had a year in the NFL now, moving up from defensive assistant to a coordinator position is a pretty big leap because you essentially run the show on that side of the ball and the only person you have to defer to is the head coach.

With that said, as long as the players respect him, everything should be alright. I'm just hoping that he doesn't do something as simple as recycle Rex Ryan's old plays; not only would that give Ryan a distinct, strategic advantage for when his Jets play the Ravens in the future, but it'd also give other teams plenty of game film to work with (as opposed to the relatively-clean slate of brand-new plays within a familiar scheme.)
like specialteams cord. to Head Coach or starting qb in dev. 1-aa to starting qb in the nfl ;) i like his agressive philosophies seems like an honest and down to earth guy the d is gonna stay the same he says and i belive him watch the press confrence

No, I've felt it would be Greg since I first heard about it. Just an instinct I guess, My brother told me he thought they'd go a different route and that I didn't know what I was talking about.. Guess I proved him wrong once agian.
According to that same link, I see Vic Fangio was also promoted to Assistant Head Coach as well as Linebackers coach.

Good, Coach Harbaugh needs all the active eyes and ears he can get to continue to help him out. I just hope that Fangio, even in his new capacity, remains upstairs in the booth to help out with replays and challenges, since he's done a great job this season with that. Granted, there were still a couple of calls that could've been challenged, but otherwise, he helped Coach Harbaugh throw the red flag at most of the right times.
Per Adam Schefter, Jerry Rosburg has been promoted to AHC

Another Couch building a track record with our team. I predict he will be successful like Harbaugh. Shocking choice two years in a row.

I like how Mattison was able to work the defense in Florida so the front 4 can put pressure on the QB rather than always having to blitz safeties. Mattison worked under Bob Davie who helped to further develope of the three four defense at Texas A&M which eventually became the standard for NCAA defenses.
Mattison wouldn't be the first defensive coordinator to successfully jump from college to the pros. Bud Carson and Serafino "Foge" Fazio made the jump with Carson being the most successful

I would have prefered Pagano. He did more with less for us this year. Our linebackers are so good, we change LB coachs every few years and they still dominate, so I really wouldnt point to their play as some great achievement of his. Pagano, however took a depleted secondary and had them playing well enough to win. Thats a huge improvement over last year because once the starters went down, the secondary was literally the difference between wins and losses for us. Plus he seems to have more fire then Mattison.

What was the point of giving rosburg AHC? I thought the idea of AHC was to keep your best position coaches because if you hire another team's coach, you have to give them a higher position than they had at their old team. The only thing above ST for Rosburg is HC, and there's no risk of that. It should have been Fangio or Pagano.
