Scott To Test Waters

Yea, we need to try to keep Bart b/c I belive this guy is the real deal(he can get it done without Ray Lewis on another team). To try to say JJ is more importamt than Bart is insane. If we had someone more dominant enough to compliment Suggs we would have to blitz less sort of like the Steelers do.
Lots of times they just show blitz and they come with their D-Lineman and Woodly and Harrison. Tjose guys are a dynamic duo and we need someone on Suggs other side to do that(Adalious was perfect and I can;t believe management let him go).

I know you look at all the great players that played for the Ravens that have retired or is playing on another team and we had guys come in and we sort of haven't missed a beat but thats not always so!We need a Joey Porter/Woodly type of guy to replace JJ and we have no one to fill in for Bart!

No, he can't. Not by anyone we have on our roster right now. I sure dont trust a starting ILB spot to an OLB (McClain Barnes) or a guy who hasnt taken a snap (Gooden). You'll see (actually, hopefully you wont)

Yes they will. Scott is a vital key to the defense and if he leaves once again we will take a step back in our linebacker core, just as we did when we lost AD. Let's hope he stays. Not one of backup linebackers are ready to take every snap of D, and if you think they will play at a level equal to Bart your crazy.

as long as we have Ray Ray and Sizzle, I feel pretty good about our LB group. It would be even easier if we switched back to a 4-3, like I am hoping we do.

Scott has his moments. I think hes peaked out awhile ago because of his mentality and not going anywhere. To me I feel like he has bad reaction time allowing guards to eat him up while ray plugs the gaps and makes the tackle... which shouldn't happen if scott was competent. He also misses targets in open field due to bad pursuits. Hes ok, he could be better... like I said he has his moments.

I don't understand why you guys want us to switch back to a 4-3 with the success we are having with the 3-4. I f it ain't broke, don't try to fix it, just add to it.

I honestly feel that the 3-4 defense is better than the 4-3 defense b/c it can be more complex ! The best defenses mainly be the 3-4 teams in my eyes and don't get me wrong, there are some tuff 4-3 defenses out there. Let our 3-4 be our base defense with us hybridnating to the 4-3 !
just wait until training camp and pre-season. Gooden is nicknamed Ray Jr. for good reason
So I've heard... I have no idea why as I haven't seen anything by him. Care to fill me in?

Our base D will be determined by what kind of personnel we have on the field.
A lot of people assume that the return of Gregg = return to 4-3.
But if we retain all our LBers, I don't see it panning out that way. I think we'll go back to the set that we used a couple years ago, which had Ngata and Pryce at DE and Gregg at NT. That is one mean DL!
