Who Would You "mic" Up?

36 posts in this topic

With opening night approaching against the Bengals, that also means that Ravens Wired is close behind! The first Ravens Wired will air Wednesday night, September 13th on MASN & The CW.

So the question is, who would you "mic" up against the Bengals, and why?

If a defensive player: Ed Reed, simply because he's always a blast to listen to and is normally in the thick of the action no matter what game he's playing. As one of the best ball hawking safeties in the game he's also a good bet to disrupt Carson Palmer and the Bengals' passing game.

If offensive: Derrick Mason, because he's also great to watch and listen to and I think he's going to have a good game in Cincy. Operating primarily out of the slot I can see him having a lot of receptions.

ed got burnt in this game last year, so i'd bet he is gonna be wanting to put a real big lick on a couple of those bengal wide outs , and if he is mic'd up, then we get to see them all over again, with some 'producer commentary'.

McGahee, Ed Reed, Bart Scott, Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs, Heap, Mason, Rolle....All of which showcase different looks at a game and dont say the same thing. and they're all down to earth, logical and smart and play-makers.

On offense: Derrick Mason

On defense: Terrell Suggs, he's always running his mouth on the field. It would be nice to see what he is actually saying.

i think it would be very entertaining IF we alternated between our favorite players.....because each player gives a different point of view when looking at a game...and gives us their OWN point of view on it/deal.

Wow - talk about resurrecting an old thread. I remember when I posted in here that we were 0-0 and I had such high hopes for the season. Ah, memories.

Can't remember if they did, but they should have mic'd up Ed for that game - he returned a punt for a TD.

Some "mic-ups" to consider for next season

1) John Harbaugh during training camp or a minicamp - Great way to get to know him a little bit and we all might even llearn something about football too.

2). Steve Bisciotti - doubt if he would agree to it. But, I would love to hear his perspective during a game.

3). One of the players' wives during a game.

4). Kelly Gregg as often as possible.

Please mic up Kyle Boller! I don't think you have before and I want to know what is going through his head half the time. Sometimes he throws 3 picks sometimes he throws 3 TDs. You Never know who's showing up. I'd like to hear him when he went toe to toe with Cry-Brady. If not him then Landry. He kinda floats under the radar, but he was amaizing last season.

By last season I mean 2006 his rookie season. I just wanted to make that clear. He got more tackles this year and stepped it up when we lost C-Mac and Rolle, but sadly not a single INT. So sad, but we had no pressure.

During the Preseaon I think it would be cool to have the mic on a few of the former rookie or the new rooks that get drafted this year, so we can get to know the new faces and see how they aclimate to their new teammates and coaches.

yea that would be a nice added touch as well as some of our favorite players.....(from the coaches stand point) i personally want to see and actually hear about how each new coach on this new staff (harbaugh included) can go about from week to week, day to day.....and what challenges he faces and approaches them and overcomes the adversity....would love to see all of that sometime during the season. :)

Ray Lewis! Whenever Ray has the "mic" on him, it's always fun to hear how much energy he can give a team. I also like when he tackles people, the things he says to the opposing player.
