Waving Goodbye

Yes, the season is over and it's unfortunate that our season ended in Pittsburgh. But everyone can't go to the superbowl, so whatever.

But this was a great season compared to other seasons in the past, Tom Brady went down in the first game and things went haywire, teams that don't make it big made a huge impact early in the season and you never knew what was going to happen, which team would be on top one week then terrible the next. Great stuff.

The purpose of this topic is to address your personal highlights of the season, Ravens moments and non-Ravens moments and what you expect out of the NFL or teams/coaches in 2010 kissing the 2009 season goodbye.

My most memorable Ravens moment starts with my TV. Usually I watch football on my small LCD tv upstairs but we bought a huge 56" plasma TV on the same week we went against the Eagles. Being in Chicago and not having direct tv I was stuck watching the Bears-Rams game until the Bears tore it open so much so that FOX actually started broadcasting the Eagles-Ravens game, the first play I saw on my new TV. Ed Reed taking it all the way 108 yards for an NFL record, by far the most special moment of my season.

Non Ravens moment would be the Chargers-Chiefs rematch, San Diego's comeback was historic, nobody even realized it but without that comeback they wouldn't have gone to the playoffs, it was an amazing thing to watch.

Things I expect to happen next season is the referee systems needs a complete overhaul, I don't care how. Fix these refs!!

What are yours?

My fav moment was in the Texans game when Yamon had his only catch of the season be a 45 yard bomb for a score! That ball was perfect!!

By far the most memorable game was the Dallas game.

But the most "pivotal" game of the season was by far the Cleveland game. Being down by two touchdowns was in most ways considered a loss during any other season. There was no way I thought we would come back in that game. When that game ended, you saw the chemistry form right before your eyes.

Suggs was dumbfounded during the post game interview. He couldn't believe that a Ravens offense actually pulled its weight and covered the defense for once.

IMO it was the game that set the tone for the rest of the season.

I'm with you on that, but the Dallas game was very special, sitting on the edge of my seat, sweating man. When there was only 30 sec. on the clock I finally realized that we won.

I would have to say the Dallas game; I got to watch it with my co-workers who love the cowgirls and love to talk smack. I remember "who the ravens"? Whats a Raven? After the game I was able to tell them it was a big bird that comes to your closing the stadium party and cr*ps all over it hahaha I was soooo happy. and ya we finally got a QB!!

I have three that will forever be etched into my mind.

First was Flacco's 38 yard run for a score in the season opener.
Then there was the Troy Smith - Flacco 43 yard hookup.
And finally, the two runs in Dallas, and hearing Ray in the background "Close this **** down!!"

The back to back 80 yard runs by McGahee and McClain to beat Dallas (last game ever in Texas Stadium). That's high up on my list.

I don't know about the Titans playoff game. We left a lot of plays on the field. That game was painful to watch and expierence. I'd take the Texans or Browns games over that playoff Titans game anyday.

Def our back to back runs to set a record runs in Dallas to close their stadium, Reed breaking his own record for TD Int. Us beating the Titans, no. 1 seed. Flacco running for a TD. Reed's numerous interceptions in the playoff games, the list goes on and on. What a great season. I loved every minute of it. I can't wait for next season.

Oh, it did everything BUT shut them up. They're still complaining over on their boards.
