Ramses Barden

49 posts in this topic

I have heard some people talking about him and I just saw Todd McShay's Senior Bowl blog in which he said Barden had a good practice on Monday. He's 6'6 and although he doesn't have speed, neither does Marques Colston, look at what he has done with the Saints. I hope the Ravens scouts are watching him.
i was the one that introduced him to these boards and i love the guy, his hands are arms are huge
Yeah, I remember reading a post in which you talked about him. Barden and Mohammad Massaquoi have really impressed so far. I have been high on Massaquoi for a while. He's 6'1, 210lbs, probably runs between a 4.4 and 4.5 and has good hands. He's also really fluid running routes.

I think some good receivers are available. I just hope the team picks the best one when the opportunity comes.

I like Massaquoi but really want a receiver with size like a Fitzgerald or a Colston

well heres a guy Flacco can't/shouldn't overthrow. now all we would need is a 6'6 RB and we are set! damn I wonder where we can find a 6'6 RB.

A lot of people talk about how Hey-Bey is going to be a bust, but I think this guy is much more likely to be a bust than Hey-Bey. I would not mind us taking this guy if he fell to us in the fourth though.

You are right they are not expected to be superstars, but they are expected to be good solid players and contributors on a team. If he turns out to be another Clarence Moore then he is a bust. Just because you select someone later doesn't mean there aren't expectations that go along with picking them. You do not just go around and waste draft picks, yes if we picked him in the sixth or seventh round and he doesn't do anything then he isn't really a bust. Also, I think the way everyone is comparing him to Colston, I mean we'll see, but there are a lot of guys who have come through that were tall but never amounted to anything.

okay so as ive been looking at some combine footage and reading some combine footage Ramses Barden will most likely be there at our third round pick due to his lack of seperation, the guy is huge and can leap and make great catches and just rip the ball out of the air, his does struggle getting off press coverage and that is a problem, he cant get seperation very well but his body is a graet frame so just thro it high and hell come down with it,

So after really watching him i wouldnt touch him until the late 3rd or early fourth and i think that is where hell end up going

SO i was wroing and i apologise to those who i told Barden would be a monster, Hell be good in the redzone but not a great receiver

The guy im really foucsing in on at the moment is a CB, but im not telling who lol
I love this guy, avergae height, great insticts, average speed and a huge hitter for a corner but more importantly great coverage, the guy only allowed 69 yards his entire college carreer and he strated the last two season and played in every gaem, last year he gave up only 9 yards and is a true lockdown corner, no Qb throws it his way as his coverage is so good, if they thorw it his wasy it is either and incompletion as he breaks it up or a pick

The guy is Nnamdi Asomugha except his scholl is a small one in comparison to others and his tackling could improve and he isnt not fats but yet hes not slow, woudl be similar speed to say Charle Woodson so about a 90 speed in madden lol,

his name is Mark Parson

After what I am hearing, Mark Parson sounds like a very good man2man corner who rarely gets beat,
and shut down Robiskie when he went against Ohio state. Qb's avoid throwing to him.
Good strength (18 reps of 225) good speed 4.38 40.
Downside is that he plays in MAC and not against great receivers
don't know about footwork, hips, and ball skills because I can't find any film on him (yet)

Here are two videos of Parson. He seems like the corner equivalent to Barden. The more I watch him, the more I think the Ravens should get him. Hopefully, he is available in the middle rounds. Look at what the secondary did this year with all the injuries. Parson looks he could add quality depth and maybe step in at nickel or the second corner spot.
i honestly beileve parson can be a number one corner in this league
I was sold once I saw the Ohio State game. He limited Robiskie to 3 catches for 8 yards

Sidenote: He did get lit up by Buffalo's electric receiver Naaman Roosevelt

Something like 10 catches for 150 and a TD
the guy has olny let in 69 yards hi entire college carrer, i have him being taken by us in the third round
What about Naaman Roosevelt?

I have us taking him in the 3rd too, Britt in the 2nd and Barden in the 4th. I'm not quite sure who's the best for our needs at the #26 spot

Sleeper pick
not if you guys keep talking about him! you're just creating hype and some other team will draft him earlier than we expect and then we lose our chance to get him!
