What Was Your Favorite Boller Moment?

95 posts in this topic

I love boller and i really think he would have turned the corner this year as he grew in age and settled down mentally. Maybe he can go to detroit to throw bombs to calvin johnson until they groom a new QB they will get in the draft. Or maybe he can replace favre with Rex up in new york?

After all the headaches Boller gave Rex and our defense...I doubt that would happen. I can see Detroit if they don't address QB in the draft.

I really think his time has passed. He'll be a backup on some team around the league, it just won't be on the Ravens. He is just a backup QB like David Carr and Joey Harrington. They had talent coming out of college but could never grasp the pro game.
...Just to clarify, I was looking for "Boller Moments"; a Boller Moment is when Kyle does anything incredibly stupid, inept or just plain funny.

God bless the guy, but there's no way he's leaving town without at least one more good thrashing.
Why not? Give the man a break. He tried. He gave his all. It just wasn't working. I'm tired of people picking on him. If we got this crap every time we fell short of our goals, we would feel humilated and beat down. He kept coming back and trying to help the team.

I agree with the next two posts:
I hope this isn't a Boller bashing thread. The guy was nothing but classy for our team, and he still is. He gives it his all, too bad everything he had to give wasn't helping us acheive our goals.

I do feel bad for the guy. He has the heart of a Raven just not the ability. He's as tough as they come.
I know what you're saying, but hey, the guy cost Ray Lewis and Jon Ogden and Cmac and others 4 years of the prime of their careers. I need closure! :P

That was one of my favorite moments ever!

List of my favorite underacheiving QBs

1) Kyle Boller
2) Trent "All I wanna do is Win" Dilfer (Grant it, he did when a superbowl)
3) Elvis Grbac - If crying isn't enough emotion for you, what is?

So, he should have said, "No, thanks, I'll just sit on the side over here enjoying my Gatorade. No point in playing. Maybe one of the trainers could go in."

I get what you're saying, too, but he didn't put himself in the game - he just answered the call when it was made and did his best. Put the blame where it belongs: either on the coach that put him in, the coach that didn't prepare him properly, or the organization for not getting someone more reliable. Don't blame him for trying his best.

If I didn't believe he was out there playing with all his heart, I'd be totally on your side.

This is a little rude. Kyle is a HELL of a QB, maybe if we hadn't throw him to the wolves he would have played better for us. The fact is that he enjoyed being here. He played for us produly through all the booing and hate he received from the majority of the fans. He was behind a weak offensive line who almost let him get sacked as much as ben does. Good luck to Kyle wherever he may go from here. I have NOTHING and I mean NOTHING but 100% respect for him.

But I can't forget the game he had against the Patriots. Boller looked like a beast.
Those were classics.

watching kyle boller made me feel like i could QB the ravens. did u not see the vid i posted?

they always talked about how boller could throw the ball 60yrds on one knee....and what did that amount to?

we threw flacco to the wolves...and i was happy he ain't trip over his own feet.
seriously that's not acceptable as a rookie or even at the high school varisty level....you will get benched if u can't keep ya balance.

So he wasen't the best QB, you have to admit our offensive line didn't do a great job at protecting him at times either. He put up with alot in Baltimore. Im saying as a person.. and a football player in general. He has class.. which is more then I can say for the majority of football players in the league right now.

true.
he did try tho....he kept going back out there. i gotta give him props on that as well.

i agree boller did have the problem where he would get sacked as soon as the ball was snapped. the o-line was really bad at times. glad flacco never had to experince that.

at the end of the day it goes back to billick....and i'm glad we have harbaugh even tho i appreciate the things billick did for our team.

when boller walked up to my friend's g/f at ramshead annapolis and said "i'm kyle boller, do you want to come back to my place with me." to this she responded by laughing and stating "i know who you are, and you're terrible"

what a loser. the guy was a horrible QB and a horrible person. good ridance
ManI remember2 years ago he threw a bomb to D Williams in the endzone. It bounced off of a defenders helmet into D Wills hands. That Patriots game, whew Kyle was looking like he was shedding himself of bad play. I really feel bad that he got injured this off season because i think he would have faired out well with the offense. We may have made the playoffs with him. But theres a new sheriff in town and his name is Joe!
I would have loved to see what Kyle could do under Cam.

I always had a soft spot for Boller...don't know what it was but it just always seemed like he was trying his hardest, even when things didn't work out for him. I have a feeling he could end up doing well somewhere else.

i wish it was made up, but i lost all respect for him at that moment. ive hated him ever since then because of the attitude and ego he showed that night. I've cheered his misfortunes since then and will continue to do so until he retires/cant find a job (which won't be long)

he's what we call a "bust"! Our coach Brian Billick loved the guy for his arm strength, but Boller proved to be very inaccurate. Granted we didn't have the best offense aorund him, but he has the gun slinger mentality. Never throw the ball away, force it in if you have to, and that lead to INTs and poor decision making. Boller never lived up to his potential, and was replaced by Steve McNair, and has rode the pine ever since. Boller was mediocre at best, but not worthy of a 1st round pick by any means.

The best way I can describe him was that he was very inconsistent. A lot of the times he would have us as fans cussing up a storm when he was forcing passes throwin picks (one time our home crowd cheered when got hurt and got taken out of the game--not cool but it happened) and every once in a while he would have a glimpse of greatness. ie: The patriot game last season. He liked to fumble snaps, the ball in general and would fall down a little too much trying to drop back for a pass. We didn't have a very good Offensive Line for a number of years and a stubborn head coach that never took him out like he should have. I would like to say he was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

I love me some Boller. Don't know why but it was kinda fun saying Oh no not boller when he was warming up. He gave it his all and is one tough ******.

I def see him going to another city, maybe Detroit, and putting up some good numbers. Boller #7 on his jersey, #2 in our hearts. lol

I think now's a good time to reclarify that I'm not trying to bash Boller; this is all in good fun. Kinda like when Ray Ray leaves, I'm sure we'll be reminiscing about his playing days. With Boller, there weren't many good days to celebrate, but we can look back on it now to see how far we've come.

But, just for the record, the player is accountable for himself; Boller can't pass the buck on the coaches for all his poor decisions and falling down for no reason, etc.
