Well if history says anything. The Ravens have a great year, then a bad year, then a great year. etc. Anything can happen. Just because we did well this year, doesn't mean we will do the same thing next. We are going to have to see what happens in free agency, what type of injuries we deal with next year, level of play from each individual, etc.

The Browns were 10-6 last year, and were expected to be on the rise. Look what happened to them.

I say we go 11-5 again next season. 12-4 maybe, but if we aren't careful we could fall to 9-7. Playoffs are a must against next years teams, especially with no NFC East.

The key factor in my opinion is going to be Flacco. Flacco needs to be set free. I get the feeling that Harbaugh sometimes tells him to not lose, and other times tells him to go win. Hopefull after a year under his belt we'll see what he's truly capable of. 12-4, 11-5 next year is what I'm thinking.

But they failed badly down the strech and lost to the bengals and they have no defense
I see losses to Pittsburgh, New England, San Diego and Minnesota

Pittsburgh-you haven't beat them in 3 tries-they have your number

New England- they will be better with Brady back

San Diego- West coast trip-not good

Minnesota- can stop the run and till Flacco proves he can win a game with just his arm then I have to vote against him.

10-6 is a good record and should get you in the playoffs, whats wrong with that? Do you think the Ravens will run the table? Defense will be a year older, loss of D-cordinator, and the fact that in the NFL one or two plays a season can be a difference between 10-6 and 8-8.
Steelers had our number because we had a rookie QB and the Steelers D has been the best I have seen it since the Ravens have been a franchise.

San Diego is overrated dont get mad cause they own the Colts

Vikqueens- if Tjack is the QB I am not worried lol

NE until they fix there defense Im not worried

I foresee a QB in their 1st round selection. Maybe this year should be an investment for the draft. We could trade our picks for future picks, then sign a CB and/or WR. We should be set to go from there.

Somethings not correct with this schedule. It has the Raven's playing 17 games with no bye week?

haha you can't fathom the idea of the ravens doing anything. no one can. only ravens fans know the talent we have, and all the problems we've had all year. we'll have a stellar offseason. after how far we got this year with all the problems we faced, baltimore is on the map, and is an attractive option for FAs.

the only reason the colts beat us is because of peyton manning using our CBs. we get some CBs in the offseason, watch out indy. i even put your team as one of the losses, but it could very well be a toss up. just dont go shooting anyone outside of your car wash when we beat you

:) Hi from Japan Yup I bleed purple out here, and live in a sea of band wagoners last year it was Giants and Pats jersy this year steelers  I hate steelers!! I wore my Scott Jersy and 2006 AFCN champ hat for week after we lost to the Dolphins last year. Any way not to get off point but had to vent to some one who might understand. If we keep our Defense we will take it to the next level next year (Maybe beat the Colts?) We do have a francise tag we should use on Lewis or he might be lost. Offense we are good maybe more to throw to than Heap and Mason maybe a young WR who is a deep threat to compliment Flacco. Any how Go Ravens!!

why not? The AFC North had - statisticall speaking from the preious year's result - the most difficult schedules. Next year we get the two worst divisions, statistically speaking...plus we get the colts at home.
Looking at the 08 schedule after the season we had last year no one expected more than 6 wins. Looking at what the 08 season netted us and looking forward to only getting better I see only the Indy, NE, Chargers, and @Steelers game as potential losses.

The season we just had should prove to everyone that trying to guess your next seasons record is almost impossible.

Like they all say, its easier to fall then it is to climb. Who would have thought we would only win 5 games in 2007 after going 13-3 in 2006?

I'm just going to stay on the side of, I know Harbs will have these guys ready to go for each game. I feel confident in our coaches.

True, but until we get him a down field weapon, our options won't be a whole lot different.

Hey, I hope the Ravens do well. I'm looking at this as a third party not as a Ravens' homer. I have you making the playoffs but not with a 13-3 record but a 10-6, maybe a 11-5. You can disagree and thats fine but experts had the Browns in the playoffs this year, how did that pan out?

There are a lot of factors in how next season goes. Ravens need a D-cordinator, CB to stay healthy and WR to pass to and your defense is getting up there in age so that needs addressed. Just because you had a very productive season does not guaranteed you do the same or better the next. I even looked at the Colts schedule and nothing is a lock. Keep this in mind, 12 teams make the playoffs and there is always 6 new teams the next year. You could go 10-6 but not make the playoffs, look at New England this year.

Some Facts

IAW 2008 stats next years opponents total are 32 - 31 Away while at home we are looking at 25 - 39 (we have an advantage at home) although this calculation include 0 - 16 Lions who will be better? and the Bengals, and KC who were both 1 - 7 on the road. Also against indianapolis colts; Baltimore is as a total 2 - 6 (both wins at home 1998 and 2001). The other mentioned games on the road last time in NE we lost (2004) in Green Bay we lost in 1998, in San Diego we lost the last three 07, 98, and 97 and I can not find if we ever played in Min, do not think so (Purple vs Purple). But the good thing since 1996 Ravens 1st year we have been to the play offs 5 years out of 12 and have a record 7 - 4.

Great point! Look at what Flacco did this season, coming in not knowing he would get the start. Imagine how great he'll be when we get a great deep threat WR? And Once he goes thru all the training camps and mini camps? Im hoping this off-season they get him comfortable with Heap.
