Purple Punishment

Willis Mcgahee

23 posts in this topic

Since he suffered a concussion, the training staff would still be wise to monitor him throughout the offseason, even when he's away from the team. Just check up on him. You never know...concussions are a tricky thing, and no one truly knows the long-term effects.

Though, studies have shown that they can be pretty serious and lead to other serious neurological issues, if not treated properly. So, McGahee needs to take it easy.

Hes a warrior in my eyes. He played through everything in Cleveland when they tried to destroy his vision. He played hurt all year. He scored both of our touchdowns outsmarting the Pitt line. Anyone that wants Willis gone doesnt register to me. He was a nice spark to our O last night.

Coming into this postseason, I initially wanted him gone AFTER next season, because I didn't think his commitment was there.

But, last night changed my mind, aside from the big hit. My only criticism left, of course, will still be his offseason work ethic. But, other than that, I have no complaints about him, and I hope to see him back in a bigger role next season if he earns it.

Oh Im sure he is going to wanna work out as hard as he can to punish anyone he can on Pittsburgh. I think we will see the most dominant Willis next year. Look out World cause I really think that hit is going to wake something up in Willis to make him the NFLs leading rusher next year!

Good news:
Willis McGahee was released from the hospital early Monday after suffering a concussion and neck pain in the Ravens' AFC Championship loss.
"He is resting at his home today," said PR director Kevin Byrne. "It is expected that Willis will have a complete recovery from the head and neck injuries he suffered."
I gotta say he was making some mad blocks last night against a great pressure defense. I can't see Ray Jr. doing pass protection like that.

McGahee has it in him to be a great back. He just needs to let it out, and go with the flow. How old is he now?

Willis is awesome, I just hope he changes his offseason work ethic so he doesn't start off slow. I've always loved the guy even through his days at the U and the Bills. I'm glad that he's fine and had a great game last night.

Yes He Had A Great Game Last Night Blocking Pass Rushers...But He Only Had 60 Yards Total...For The Amount Of Money Spent On Him We Can Get A Better O-Line To Help Out Flacco....That Is Why I Want Him Traded We Have Two Good Backs After We Trade Him

dude, 60 yards with 2 TDs is pretty damn good against Pitt.

We cannot trade Willis or release him. It would cost us 11mil towards the cap

Who's going to take an overpriced RB anyways? that didn't have a good season, and was outrushed by McClain. If you don't want him, what makes you think another team will?

Usually only players ATOP of their game get traded nowadays. Ones nearing free agency. Like a Roy Williams.

The only guy on our team, that we could probably get away with a trade is Suggs, if we franchised tagged him.
