It'd be a real bummer if Ogden weren't to start the season, but exciting at the same time because we would get to see Gaither in regular season action

it be a real bummer for Ogden to start the season on PUP but with that said, it gives Gaither more playing time and Mentorship from JO...it gives Gaither valuable Experience (which he will need in the Future) and it gives the Coaches a sense of how well he can play and what exactly needs to be improved upon

I dont think missing pre-season will have much effect on J O. Gaither can benefit from the experience. I would think that by no more then the 2nd or 3rd game we'll see Ogden in there. For all we know it may not even be all that serious and they are playing it off to get Cincy to plan differently

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) -- Offensive tackle Jonathan Ogden passed his physical and was added to the Baltimore Ravens' active roster after missing most of training camp with a turf toe injury.

Ogden practiced Tuesday for the first time since last season. Coach Brian Billick said the 10-time Pro Bowl selection is unlikely to play Friday against the Atlanta Falcons, but Ogden said he hopes to be ready for the season opener.

but if Ogden doesnt feel like he is 100 percent ready, then im for dang sure he'll be ready for week 2......so here's how i see it....Week 1, Ogden Questionable...Week 2...Probable

Im just glad enough I get to see hope of Ogden getting back to shape and ready to play for the regular season. Dont get me wrong, Gaither is talented and this playing experience is crucial for his future, but he also needs to look at how ogden blocks as well as play it himself. I'm just hoping that the Ravens will be able to have a good solid young core of offensive linemen in the future to win more super bowls after this one

That is great news. I hope he can be in there for week one. It;s our toughest game before the bye. But I don't want to risk further injury as well. I hope the line can get it together and be ready for prime time.

A 50% JO is better than a 110% Gaither. Just don't want to risk further injury.
