Attention everyone: while we are allowing links to other forums as you search to continue our community, please understand that we are NOT endorsing other sites, especially new ones running on "free" platforms.  Please be aware that new forums may not have the security in place that you have been able to enjoy here.  They also tend to suffer from growing pains.  

Personally, I would try the older, more established, forums, of which there are several.  Otherwise, do whatever you can to protect yourself, perhaps register with a disposable email address and a unique password.

If you have experience with other established forums, please post a link (and perhaps a description) in this thread.

There is NO CHANCE I will be using this site at all once the forum goes down. And Twitter and Facebook will NOT be my relocation for conversation regarding Ravens football.

Hey guys, I know coming from someone with nearly no posts this seems strange, but I have been a daily reader of these forums dating back to 2011 and  I've had a few different accounts here and there. I am currently a studying graphic designer, and me and my friend are currently producing a new forums page and I would appreciate it if  you guys could check it out at launch, I know you will love it. I am working hard to duplicate it as close to these forums as possible, but adding a small point of my personal touch. I would hate to see this community fall apart, ranging from Biolizzard, to sami, and even wizards doomsday posts, I've learned to love this community just as much as my ravens. I don't want to deal with clueless Facebook fans, and you guys sure know your stuff. The launch date of the new forum will be May 5th. Apologies for the time, but as a student I'm extremely busy with finals this week. If you have any feedback or suggestions please just email me: forums@purpleflock.com ; this will be a well run and developed community. I only share this now to spread the word before the boards close. This community doesn't have to die. It will take some time to get to full potential, but I can ensure you a safe and efficient board with lots of room to grow. Later down the line (after launch and growth), I would love to write some articles myself, along with having those wiling and capable submit their own articles for use!  Thanks for the read and check us at https://purpleflock.com !!

I'll probably hover around on Russell Street Report, as well as seeing what becomes of the two attempts to recreate this board (purpleflock and the boardhost one, the former looking markedly more professional).

The key wherever you go is the traffic--generating new and sustaining existing traffic. If you are small with members exclusive to the website it'll never grow and natural attrition will eventually be your enemy. I'll be at Russell Street Report but I will be monitoring both attempts. I can't stand the layout at RSR because it's not especially mobile friendly from my experience and I haven't used their mobile app else I would've been there sooner.  The posters there are knowledgeable and they don't seem to put up with trolls as much and there's regular traffic

I would try out different sites including the ones set up by @BOLDnPurPnBlacK and @purpleflock.com. However, I caution you to use an email generated solely for this purpose as the sites may not immediately be secure, but as long as you use aliases and don't divulge any private information about yourself, you should be fine. I use Russel Street report but not their discussion boards. So, get a feel for these boards and stick with one that you feel gives you the most value.

I comment on various articles on RSR and BaltimoreBeatdown but I never actually looked around the site for a forum. 

Actually that's how I got started here  I would comment on various articles years ago. Occasionally I would see people quoting statements including my own and I didn't have a clue how to respond back  from my phone ( blackberry curve back then). Finally I got on my computer saw the little notification and boom the Forum boards opened up to me.

This looks interesting but visiting it and looking in the Ravens section doesn't appear to be much posting on day to day like here.

I will go back to Scout, that's where I began my message board posting and for those that like politics and current events that is the second most active forum there.  In one form or another it's been around since the late 90's and new fans are always welcome.
