[News] What Ravens' AFC North Foes Did In The Draft

43 posts in this topic

The Ravens addressed what they felt was the biggest need in this year's draft. After losing to the Steelers the way they did and going back to our last game in Foxborough. They want to ensure our defense doesn't blow leads in the last few minutes.

With that said, there weren't enough picks for the Ravens in this draft to address every need.

Can Ozzie get Mangold? If so, that fills a huge hole up front. Would Boldin still be productive if we go out and get him? I think if the Ravens take a flyer on him if the price is right.

I just don't want to see Joe constantly dinking and dunking to Pitta for little to no yardage all year.

I'm worried about Mixon, Ross and Billings on the Bengals, they are once again loaded on offense. I hope their O line continues to struggle

I dont know how the Browns can be judged as coming away with a B, when they collected 3 of the first 29 players and all seem to likely be quality starters. If they had even a somewhat competent GM and had not blown picks like Manziel and Weeden, I think they would be poised to give us trouble soon, and may anyway. The Ravens are going to have to make up some ground.

Because they just "seem like" quality starters at this point. We really have no idea.

Cameron Erving seemed like a quality starter, and so did Justin Gilbert and Barkevious Mingo.

Would love to see Kaepernick brought in to back up Joe and push him throughout the year. Would also like to see us give Jamaal Charles a look, work him out at least. Barnidge would also make sense to gander at a la Dallas Clark role. Any updates on Watson?

Kaepernick isn't pushing anybody.

20. Z

34. Jensen

36. Nembot

53. Cruz

At first blush it wouldn't hurt my feelings to not see any of these duds in purple..Hurst is a better option than Nembot. Altough Jermaine Eluemunor isn't worth a damn at least he passes the eyeball test in comparison to Jensen.

not disrespecting him at all. i hope he becomes a pro bowl caliber receiver but as i said it must be proven on the field and until that happens we have nothing on offense that teams fear

Maybe I'm drinking some purple cool but I saw everything I needed to see from a first year guy that got zero offseason work. He made 5 or 6 catches that only a handful of WRs can make. He showed speed and YAC potential. He improved throughout the season and got 500 yards while often being the 4th or 5th option. He played less than half offensive snaps ;)

I agree BP has tremendous upside and was poorly utilized.

Couldn't agree more. I want to see receivers ducking in the middle of the field because they are scared of the hit that is coming. I miss those days. Pollard and Ray had players literally cringing and forcing an incomplete pass without even making contact. Good times

I agree!

the browns definitely drafted better than us man. if we had got the 3 players they got you would have been ecstatic

Well I certainly would expect them to have drafted better... they had the #1 overall pick and 3 first round picks.

Not exactly an apples to apples comparison.

We can get those kinds of players if you want. All we've got to do is go out and lose 14 games this year.

Given how most fans think the sky is falling when we lose 8 games...
